I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 396

"Mr. Thorne tried to stop it, but the other guy wasn't intimidated at all. They got into a massive fight, and Mrs. Thorne ended up leaving with him. That's when Mr. Thorne lost his mind..."

The manager didn't need to elaborate further.

Ethan's eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He blurted out,

"Holy shit, he actually got cucked? Zoe ran off with Garrett Kendall?"

Quentin and Ian shot Ethan identical death glares, silently begging him to shut his mouth.

Hayden, who had looked practically comatose on the sofa, suddenly surged with explosive energy the moment he heard the name 'Garrett'.

His eyes snapped open. Before Ethan could even react, a brutal punch connected squarely with his nose, instantly drawing a geyser of blood...

In the early hours of the morning, an ambulance tore through the city streets, screeching to a halt outside the Win Lounge.

Clutching his bleeding nose, Ethan watched the paramedics load him into the back.

Quentin and Ian looked at him with expressions that clearly said, *You deserved that.*

"I didn't even say anything wrong! She really is pairing up with the Kendall guy. Is it a crime to state the facts? Besides, Hayden never cared about Zoe anyway. Her running off is exactly what he wanted. Honestly, I'm rooting for Hayden and Sienna.

Sienna is sweet, kind, and super competent. Didn't you see she actually managed to recruit Zachary Harrison? A woman that supportive is one in a million..."

Ethan kept rambling, but when he finally looked up, Quentin and Ian were gone.

They had already walked far away. Still clutching his nose, Ethan sprinted after them.

"Hey, where are you guys going? Wait up!"

Quentin finally stopped, causing Ethan to nearly crash into his back.

Quentin stepped aside in disgust, and Ethan frowned.

"Why are you walking so fast?"

"To get medicine," Quentin replied deadpan.

"???" Ethan looked confused.

Ian chimed in lazily, "Psychiatric meds."

Ethan, failing to realize he was the punchline, walked right into the trap.

"Oh, for who?"

"Yes, well, Mommy won't eat junk food anymore. The driver is waiting to take you to school, hurry along now."

Lily put down her spoon, giving Zoe a deeply concerned look before leaving.

"You have to listen to Grandma Sylvia, Mommy. No eating trash!"

"..."

Zoe sat there, her face burning. As Sylvia pondered how to carefully transition back to the main topic, Zoe realized she had to bite the bullet and clear the air.

"Sylvia, it really isn't what you think."

Sylvia took Zoe's hand, her tone earnest. "Zoe, I'm completely serious. You don't have to worry. Garrett might be a little rigid, but he's incredibly clean and responsible.

If you're feeling frustrated and don't have a suitable partner, just use him as a rebound. We consider you family; no one here is going to gossip. And when you're done with him, you can just toss him aside.

Let him fend for himself, I truly wouldn't mind. Your health is the most important thing. The Kendall family will back you up. If you don't have feelings for Garrett, just treat him like a tool. At least it's a guaranteed safe option."

Zoe: "..."
