Gillian's face instantly drained of color, and she sprinted toward the obstetrics emergency room with the nurse right on her heels.

York followed closely behind.

The moment they reached the emergency room doors, Hailey, realizing the magnitude of her mistake, looked at Gillian in sheer panic. "Gillian, I didn't mean to..."

"What did you give her?" Gillian’s voice was sharp and commanding. She didn't have time to reprimand the girl; her only priority was saving the mother and the baby.

Hailey’s lips trembled violently. "Progesterone..."

While progesterone was used to support early pregnancies, administering an excessive dose could lead to fetal deformities or even trigger a miscarriage.

Gillian assessed the situation in an instant. Without another word, she rushed in to initiate emergency protocols and stabilize the pregnancy.

The rest of the nurses hurried in after her.

Through tear-filled eyes, Hailey stared at the older woman's sleek, professional silhouette. Utterly terrified, she collapsed onto the floor. "York, did I do something horrible?"
