What Goes Around, Comes Around-2

“You… you can’t do this,” Alena stammered, her voice quivering with fear. “I’m your sister!”

Lora’s gaze softened for just a moment, a flicker of the old compassion she once felt for her sister. But that compassion was buried beneath layers of betrayal and pain. “Sister,” she repeated, the word heavy with sorrow. “You were my sister once, Alena. But you’ve made your choices, and now you must live, or die, with the consequences.”

Tara growled softly within her, a reminder of the strength and resolve she now possessed. Lora knew that there was no turning back, no redemption for the sister she had once loved. The woman standing before her was a stranger, twisted by darkness and consumed by hatred.

“You had your chance,” Lora said quietly, the finality in her voice unmistakable. “And you threw it away. You infected your own mother. Who does this?”

The air around her seemed to crackle with a palpable, dark energy as she was consumed by an

uncontrollable rage.

“You think this is over?” Alena hissed, her voice dripping with venom. “You think you’ve won? You’re nothing but a fool, Elora! The Lycans will come for me! They’re out there, watching, waiting for the right moment. And when they do, I’ll be free. Free to destroy you and everything you care about!”

Azriel tightened his grip on Lora’s shoulder, his eyes narrowing as he watched Alena’s outburst. His protective instincts flared up, but Lora remained outwardly calm, though her heart pounded in her chest. She could see the madness swirling in her sister’s eyes, a dangerous mix of desperation and

fury.

“You’ll regret this!” Alena screamed, her voice echoing through the stone walls of the dungeon. “You think you’re safe? You think you can just waltz in here, play the hero, and walk away? The Lycans will tear you apart! I’ll see you on your knees, begging for mercy before they make you their slave, their whore!”

Her words were laced with pure hatred, her face contorting with malice as she continued to shout.

“They’ll make you pay, Elora! They are already after you!” Alena screeched, her voice cracking as she pushed herself to the limits of her endurance. “They’ll break you! You’ll be nothing but a whimpering dog at their feet, just like the rest of your precious pack! You think you’re powerful now? Just wait until you’re begging for scraps like a lowly omega!”

“You’ve lost, Alena,” Lora said calmly, her voice cutting through the cacophony of Alena’s threats. “The Lycans won’t save you. They only used you, like a pawn in their twisted game. You were never important to them, just a means to an end.”

Alena’s face contorted with rage at Lora’s words, her eyes flashing dangerously. “You don’t know

what you’re talking about! They will change me into a lycan beast! You will beg for mercy then!”

In the meantime, Lora reached out to Azriel through their mind link. Her thoughts were clear and

resolute, her words echoing in his mind like a quiet whisper in the storm.

*”Azriel, I believe the best course of action is to bring Markus here. We need him to use the Alpha

command on her. There’s no other way to get the information we need, anyone who gets too close

risks infection.”*

Azriel nodded slightly, acknowledging her suggestion. His voice, firm and steady, echoed back

through the mind link. *”You’re right. I’ll call him immediately.”*

As Azriel discreetly reached for his phone, intending to contact Markus, they turned to leave the dungeon, their footsteps echoing against the cold stone walls. But before they could exit, Alena’s voice cut through the air like a jagged blade.

“Where do you think you’re going?” she shrieked, her voice laced with fury. “I haven’t finished with

you!”

But before Alena could continue her tirade, a sudden, intense pain shot through her body. She gasped, her eyes wide with shock as she dropped to her knees, clutching her hand. A black vein, pulsing with a sickly darkness, began to snake its way up her arm, spreading like poison beneath

her skin.

Lora turned back to face her sister, her expression cold and unyielding. “But I’ve finished with you,”

Lora said, her voice dripping with quiet satisfaction. “This is just a taste of what you’ve inflicted on

others. You know what they say: what goes around comes around.”

Alena’s eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at the spreading infection, her face contorting in

horror and disbelief. “You evil creature!” she screamed, her voice trembling with fear and rage.

“Remove this immediately! It can’t be…!”

But before she could finish, Azriel stepped forward, his voice dripping with irony. “Why don’t you

call your precious Lycans for help, Alena? See if they come to your rescue.”

His words were a mockery, a bitter reminder of the very alliance she had so arrogantly boasted

about. Alena’s face twisted with anger, but there was nothing she could do. The pain continued to

radiate through her body, a fitting retribution for the suffering she had caused others.

Without another word, Lora and Azriel turned their backs on her, leaving the dungeon as Alena’s

screams echoed in the cold, damp air. The heavy door of the dungeon clanged shut behind them,

sealing Alena from her torment.

As they stepped out into the corridor, Azriel dialed Markus’s number, his thoughts focused on the

next steps. He knew that Markus’s King Alpha command would be the only way to extract the

necessary information from Alena. The urgency of their mission weighed heavily on his mind, but

he was resolute.

Lora, still feeling the lingering effects of her encounter with Alena, took a deep breath. She could sense Tara, her wolf, humming with satisfaction at the retribution they had dealt. But she knew that this was only a small victory in a much larger war.

Azriel glanced at her as they walked, sensing her turmoil. He reached out, intertwining his fingers

with hers, offering silent support. Lora squeezed his hand in return, grateful for his unwavering

presence.

The call connected, and Markus’s voice came through the line, steady and commanding as ever.

“Azriel, what’s the situation?”

“We need you here, Markus,” Azriel said, cutting straight to the point. “Alena is more resistant than

we anticipated, plus she can infect anyone who approaches her, so we can’t do anything. We’ll need your Alpha command to break her.”

There was a brief pause before Markus responded. “Understood. I’ll be there as soon as possible.

Stay there till I arrive, just in case she infects anyone else.”
