Our Mate-2
As she exited the villa, she was hit by the slightly chill air of the forest. She looked around and realized happily that everyone was still asleep as it was quite early. She extracted her mobile, and put on the map the main road, searching for directions. Elora started to walk quickly, intending to call a cab after she left the pack’s territory, but after maybe 15 minutes of walking she heard a
sound behind her as someone called her name, “Lora, is that you?”.
Elora’s heart skipped a beat as she turned around and found herself face to face with Doctor Luigi, the retired werewolf doctor that helped her with her pregnancy. His presence caught her off guard, and she felt a rush of embarrassment wash over her as he approached, but also was relieved that
it was him and not someone else.
“Lora?” he greeted her, his tone curious yet concerned. “What are you doing here?”
Elora shifted nervously under his gaze, feeling the weight of his scrutiny. She knew she couldn’t lie to him, especially not when he could likely smell the alpha’s scent lingering on her body.
“I… I was just leaving,” she stammered, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. “I need to get out
of here as soon as possible.”
Doctor Luigi raised an eyebrow at her response, his expression curious. He took a deep breath, his senses no doubt picking up on the alpha’s scent that clung to her.
“Are you sure you want to leave like this?” he asked, his voice gentle yet probing. “Without notifying your… host?”
“It’s better this way,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. “Please, can you help me get out
of here?”
Doctor Luigi studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, with a nod, he motioned for her to follow him. As they made their way out of the pack’s territory, Elora couldn’t shake the feeling of relief mingled with apprehension. She was grateful for Doctor Luigi’s assistance, and she hoped that her encounter with Alpha Azriel was a one-night stand and nothing more.
The good doctor guided her to his car, and he drove her towards the city in silence. Elora texted Mary to let her know that she was OK and that she would be home soon.
Back in the pack’s territory, Azriel awoke with a stretch, his body feeling unusually refreshed from a deep slumber. The scent of lilac filled the air, teasing his senses as he blinked away the remnants of sleep. As he reached out to his side, his hand met only empty sheets, and he sat up with a frown
of confusion knitting his brow.
“Where is she?” he muttered to himself, his mind still foggy with sleep. He inhaled deeply, seeking

out the familiar scent of his dove, but found only the lingering traces in the air.

Panic shot through him as he realized she was not in the room. His senses sharpened, his wolf
growling ferociously within him. “She’s not here,” he snarled, the realization hitting him like a physical blow.
In an instant, Azriel was on his feet, his movements fluid and urgent as he scanned the room for any sign of her. His keen eyes checked for her personal belongings, and his heart clenched with
dread when he could not find one.
“She’s gone,” he breathed, the words heavy with disbelief and fury. Without hesitation, he
surrendered to the primal instincts of his wolf, the need to find and reclaim her consuming him
with an almost feral intensity.
“Find her,” his wolf commanded in a feral tone, while his wild instincts took over him, bringing him
in a raging mode. “Bring our mate back to us”
