The Surprising Revelation-2

“I need to go to the hospital tomorrow for the morning shift,” she announced, her tone brooking no

argument.

Azriel frowned, his brow furrowing in concern. “Why? You’re the Luna of the pack now, Elora. Plus, I am a billionaire. You don’t need to work anymore or worry about any financial burdens,

Elora sighed, rubbing her temples, realizing that between their passionate moments and all the changes that happened in the last few days, her job and responsibilities were not discussed. “Azriel, I’m a doctor. I have obligations and people who depend on me. I can’t just abandon them,”

Azriel’s jaw tightened. “But you have a duty here, too. You’re the Luna. Your primary responsibility is

to the pack.”

“I can do both,” Elora insisted, her voice rising slightly. “Just because I’m the Luna doesn’t mean I stop being who I am.”

Azriel stood up, his frustration evident. “It’s not safe, Elora, to be outside the pack in a public hospital. You don’t need to put yourself at risk when you don’t have to. We can find other ways for you to help. Imagine when all my enemies will hear about you.”

Elora’s eyes flashed with defiance. “I took an oath, Azriel. To help people, to save lives. I can’t just

walk away from that.”

“You won’t be walking away,” Azriel countered, his voice growing more heated. “You’ll be focusing on the pack, on our family. That’s just as important.”

Elora shook her head, feeling her own temper rising. “You don’t understand. Being a doctor is part

of who I am. It’s not something I can just switch off because it’s inconvenient. You have no idea

how much I suffered and sacrificed to reach where I am today.”

Azriel’s frustration boiled over. “And being the Luna is part of who you are now. You can’t just

ignore that because you want to keep playing doctor.”

“Playing doctor?” Elora echoed, her voice trembling with anger. “Is that what you think I do? This

isn’t a game, Azriel. Lives are at stake.”

Azriel’s eyes darkened, his posture rigid. “I know it’s not a game. But you have to understand that your safety and our pack’s needs come first.”

Elora’s eyes filled with unshed tears as she shook her head. “I can’t believe you. I thought you of all people would understand.”

Without another word, she turned and left the room, leaving Azriel standing there, his anger and

frustration mixing with a gnawing sense of guilt. He wanted to protect her, to keep her safe, but he also knew deep down that he was pushing too hard.

As the door closed behind Elora, Azriel felt the weight of his emotions pressing down on him. He

took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He knew he needed to find a way to reconcile their differences, but at that moment, all he could feel was the sting of their argument. All he wanted was for her to adjust to her new status. She was not an ordinary human anymore. She was

the Luna of the Stormheart Pack!

Elora made her way to the quiet sanctuary of their bedroom, her mind a whirl of conflicting

emotions. She understood Azriel’s concerns, but she couldn’t turn her back on her calling. She sat

on the edge of the bed, taking deep breaths to steady herself. Why didn’t he understand that she can’t just drop everything about herself to become Luna? She knew the honor and efforts that were required for her role, but at the same time she couldn’t just give up on everything that was

familiar and kept her sane all these years.

Dinner was a tense affair. Elora barely looked at Azriel, her focus entirely on Asher. She cut his food

into small pieces, chatted with him about his day, and smiled at his innocent tales, all the while ignoring the brooding presence across the table. Azriel’s frustration simmered beneath the surface, his mind churning with the realization that his wishes would no longer be automatically obeyed. He was used to authority, to decisions being final. But now, with Lora as his Luna, he faced a partner who would argue and push back.

As they finished dinner, the atmosphere was thick with unspoken words and unresolved tension. Elora stood up, gathering the dishes and moving mechanically through the motions. Azriel watched her, his frustration mingling with a sense of helplessness. This wasn’t how he envisioned

their life together.

After dinner, they made their way to the bedroom in silence. Elora changed quickly, avoiding eye

contact, and disappeared into the bathroom. He heard the water running in the shower and

something inside him snapped. The frustration, the helplessness, the bitterness of their earlier

argument, all of it surged to the surface.

With a determined stride, he made his way to the bathroom and opened the door. Steam billowed

out, enveloping him in a warm, humid embrace. Elora stood under the spray, her back to him, her head bowed as the water cascaded over her.

“Lora,” he called, his voice rough with emotion.

She turned slowly, surprise flickering across her face before being replaced by a guarded expression. “Azriel, what are you doing?”

He removed his clothes with calculated moves and stepped inside, closing the door behind him.”

We need to talk,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument, as he took her in his arms and

kissed her mark.
