Family Ties-3
The following day, Asher returned to the house. He ventured into the garden, but this time, the woman did not appear. Undeterred, Asher decided to leave a small token of goodwill. From his pocket, he pulled out a piece of chocolate, one of his favorite treats. He placed it carefully on the garden table, hoping it would convey his friendly intentions.
With one last glance at the house, Asher turned and made his way back to the main pack grounds
The next day, as Asher walked back from school, he felt a sense of anticipation building inside him. Would the woman like his gift? When he arrived at the garden, he found the chocolate was gone He couldn’t help but smile, feeling a small victory.
Asher’s determination to connect with the mysterious woman only grew stronger. He returned to the house each day, leaving small gifts on the garden table – candies, fruits, chocolate, lollipops.
Although the woman remained inside, Asher continued his visits.
After almost a week of persistent visits, Asher was greeted with a surprising sight when he arrived
at the sage-walled house: the mysterious woman was standing in the garden. Her posture was
tense, and her eyes bore a conflicted look, but she was there. Asher’s heart leaped with
excitement and a touch of nervousness.
“Hello,” he greeted her in a small voice.
She looked at him, her expression a mix of irritation and curiosity. “Why do you keep coming back?
I told you that you are not allowed here,” she asked, her voice sharp but laced with an underlying
softness.
Asher smiled, his youthful optimism shining through. “I want to talk to you. What’s your name?”
The woman hesitated, her eyes searching his for sincerity. After a moment, she replied in a low
voice, “Kaia. What is your name?”
Asher smiled and replied in a proud tone, “I’m Asher Storm.”
Kaia’s eyes widened in shock. “Who are your parents?” she asked, her voice barely more than a
whisper.
With pride, Asher responded, “My daddy is Alpha Azriel Storm and my mommy is Luna Lora Walsh.”
Kaia’s expression changed dramatically. Her eyes filled with tears as she stared at Asher, clearly
struggling with a flood of emotions. “Azriel’s son… You look like him,” she murmured, her voice
breaking slightly.

Kaia nodded slowly, her tears beginning to fall. “Yes, I know him,” she replied, her voice trembling.” He’s,…my brother.”
Asher’s eyes widened in surprise. “You’re my aunt?” he asked, a mix of excitement and confusion in
his voice.
Kaia nodded, “Yes, I am,” she said softly.
“Why do you stay here alone?” he asked in a childish curious tone.
Kaia sighed, looking away as she wiped her tears. “It’s a long story, Asher. Maybe one day I’ll tell
you.”
Asher nodded, “Okay. But can I keep coming to visit you and play in the garden?”
Kaia looked at him, conflicted as she replied. “Yes, you can,” she said softly.
Asher smiled brightly. “Great! I’ll bring more chocolates next time.”
Kaia chuckled, a genuine laugh that seemed to lift a weight from her shoulders. “OK, little pup.”
As his stomach growled in hunger, Asher waved goodbye and ran off as Kaia watched him go, her heart filled with a bittersweet mixture of pain and happiness for her brother, as tears started to
flow freely on her face.
