Seraphina climbed into Sebastian's car and immediately started complaining.

Her voice trembled with unshed tears.

“Sebastian! Look at him! He just dumped me in the middle of the road! There were even some colleagues around. He didn't leave me an ounce of dignity!”

Sebastian lazily spun the steering wheel. “You're the one who practically begged to go work for Jaxson. Who else are you going to blame? When you graduated, I told you I'd show you the ropes at our company. What was wrong with that?”

Seraphina pouted. “It's different! I just really like Jaxson! Besides, isn't it better if the family business goes to you? I don't want to fight you for it. Just help me get together with him. It'll benefit our family's business too.”

Sebastian knew that perfectly well.

If they could secure an alliance with the Hayes family, the Judson family would reap endless rewards.

But the way Jaxson acted, he didn't seem the slightest bit interested in Seraphina.
