Chapter 202

cilia’s POV

The scream that left my mouth was unnatural; I barely even recognized my own voice.

I spun toward the door, but the gamma caught me instantly, shoving me hard against the wall, my back exploding in pain.

“Let me go!” I screamed, shoving against him desperately, but the more I fought, the harder he held onto me.

The gamma let out a dark laugh that sent a chill down my spine.

“You palace girls are all the same,” he murmured. “Don’t pretend you don’t want it. It’s why you’re at this palace, … isn’t it?”

My heart sank deep into my stomach as dread filled me.

His rough hands grabbed at my dress violently, fabric tearing down the front as I struggled beneath him, tears burning my vision and making it difficult to see. Even more difficult than the already spinning room and my foggy mind from whatever I was drugged with.

Cold air hit my exposed skin, and humiliation burned through me.

“Stop!” I cried, tears streaking down my pale cheeks.

But the aphrodisiac only made everything worse. The heat was too much; every touch felt magnified, every breath felt too hot. My body betrayed me completely, even while terror consumed me. Even Lora stopped snarling and fighting against what was about to happen.

I could hear her soft whimper in the back of my mind; her need for satisfaction was too much. I pressed my legs together, feeling the moisture pooling between them, and the ache to be touched only grew more intense.

The gamma noticed immediately, and a slow grin spread across his face.

“You’re already worked up for me?” He mocked.

His words were enough to snap Lora out of whatever haze she was in… at least for a moment. A snarl tore out of her so violently that it ripped from my throat and echoed through the room, causing him to freeze. It was only for a second, though, but that second was enough for me to get the upper hand.

I shoved him with every ounce of strength I had left… hard. Far harder than an omega should have been capable of. But at this moment, I didn’t care if he knew I wasn’t an Omega. I needed to get away from him before I did something I would regret.

The gamma slammed backward into a bookshelf hard enough to knock books around his feet, and even a lamp violently crashed to the ground.

His eyes widened in shock; for a moment, he had no idea what had happened, and I wasn’t going to stick around and wait for him to understand the situation.

So, I ran.

My torn dress barely clung to my body as I sprinted; it was getting harder to run while holding it, so I released it, allowing it to fall to the ground. I stepped out of it, leaving me in only my underwear. Thankfully, there wasn’t anybody in the hallway, and I wasn’t too far away from my room, though I had to take the stairs to get to the correct floor. I just hoped I didn’t run into anybody on my run there.

I decided to take the back stairway instead of the main stairs because I knew the likelihood of running into anyone there was much slimmer.

I was right; the area was vacant, and I was relieved. I ignored the spinning of the halls and the heat that continued to course through my veins, making every breath and every movement filled with agony.

My only thoughts were to get to my room and take an ice bath… I knew that would make me feel at least a little better.

I ran towards a door, pulled it open, and nearly stumbled inside as my vision blurred. I slammed the door shut, my heart racing.

I was so disoriented that I wasn’t even 100% certain whether I was in my room or one of the guest rooms. The scent of the room was familiar, though I knew with certainty after a moment that it wasn’t mine.

My heart was racing, and tears fell down my cheeks as I thought about what could have happened. The pain/ between my legs was almost too much, and the heat… ugh, the heat was agony.

Then, I felt his presence… his nearness… his scent.
