Third Person POV

It’s been years since Fae had been in the werewolf Kingdom. She was originally from this kingdom before she met her mate, Viktor. For years, the Lycans and the werewolves were in rivalry.

It began with Viktor’s great-grandfather.

Lycans were known to be ruthless and the most powerful wolves in the world. So powerful that they weren’t every considered typical werewolves. The world had been split into two separate regions: the Lycan territory and the werewolf territory.

Something had happened with the former Alpha King and the former Lycan King, Viktor’s great-grandfather.

The feud had been passed down from generation to generation until Viktor took over as King, and his father/ passed away a few years ago.

When Viktor and Fae met, their relationship was frowned upon by the entire Lycan territory, including Viktor’s parents. But Fae had since proved herself and became one of their favorite Lunas over the years, having two amazing children who the entire Lycan Kingdom adores.

Viktor had heard that Leopold Kingsley had taken over as Alpha King of the werewolf territory, and he’s been wanting to reach out to him for the last several years, but he worried about starting a war.

They were both surprised when they received an invitation to the royal wedding but seeing the look on Leopold’s face when she said she could connect with his mate, she knew she was in the right place at the right time.

“What do you mean you can get a hold of her?”

“My wife has a special gift… no matter how far away a person is, she can connect a mindlink. She can also force a mindlink between two other wolves, as long as both are still alive,” Viktor explained.

Fae stepped closer to Leopold, seeing the gold in his eyes simmering, which meant his wolf was close to the surface.

She put a hand on his chest and closed her eyes.

“Tell me what her name is,” she said, her breathing softening slightly as she opened an empty link.

“Cecilia,” Leopold bit out; she knew it was hard for him to stay in control.

She said the name over and over again in her head.

“What pack is she from?”

“Silver moon,” Leopold answered.

She let his words wash over her; the mindlink connection buzzing internally, connecting with Leopold and expanding across the Kingdom.

“Imagine her in your head. It’s easier if you close your eyes so you can picture her face,” Fae instructed, waiting for him to picture her.

The moment he started to picture her; Cecilia’s face came into view in the deepest parts of Fae’s mind. It was a fleeting connection, but it was there… weak and painfully distant, but active.

“Cecilia?” Leopold whispered, and Fae knew this was the moment that he had felt her connection as well.

In Fae’s mind, she could see Cecilia turning, her eyes finding Leopold. They widened for a moment, and then she

et-out a small cry.

“It’s Lora,” she replied. “Leopold, are you there?”

“It’s Warren,” Leopold answered, and Fae knew at that moment it wasn’t actually Leopold speaking; it was his wolf. She also assumed that Lora was Cecilia’s wolf. “Where are you? Are you hurt?”

“I’m so afraid, Warren,” Lora cried. “It’s so dark…”

“Where are you?” Warren asked again, his voice was rougher this time. “We are coming to find you. Leopold knows you are my mate.”

“What?” Lora gasped, her eyes were getting even wider. “Mate?”

“Please, Lora. Please tell me where you are. I must find you.”

She was quiet for a moment.

“In some territory… I don’t know where. She can’t hear me. So many wolfsbane in our system. Warren… the baby.”

Fae’s eyes widened; she had a baby?

“What?” Warren asked, equally confused.

“I worry for our unborn child. Can’t handle the wolfsbane…” Lora whispered, tears filling her eyes.
