CH 224
Anthony
He didn’t leave his suite at all after returning home to the pack, and none could mind-link to him about anything. He found himself alone in his bed staring at the walls or the celling He had no inclination to get up and go out into the pack and have them all see that he had been rejected by Mischa and become wolf-less from it.
No one came into his suite to check on him or talk to him. Not his unit, not the Elders and the omega that cleaned his suite normally also did not come in and do that. No one called or texted him on his phone.
This pack was still running and without him, they had no need of him at all, it seemed. Likely Simone was in the seat of Luna right now and Ray was sitting in the seat of Alpha, and he knew his unit would be standing there right next to him.
He’d thought they’d at least come and see him, to find out what happened, but seems not, that last comment from him out on the packhouse steps had seen them really walk away from him in full. He could only suppose that the Elders had passed on that he was rejected and wolf-less to them. Though that should have seen them, his lifelong childhood friends come and check on him, but it had not. They’d stood by him all year long through his downfall and only now did he realize they, too, were all following Mischa’s orders to just let him go about doing as he pleased, and not point out his flaws or errors. To stay loyal to the pack, no matter what.
His eyes moved to the bedroom door as it was pushed open and Harvey stepped into his bedroom and looked at him. Wrinkled his nose. “Alpha Dennis is at the Gate you’d best get up, shower and present yourself. You’ve got 10 minutes before he gets out of his car at the packhouse.”
Anthony stared at his great-great-grandfather and said nothing. What was the point? He knew deep down inside they’d called the Wolfen Council on him, he’d become a traitor to this pack the day he’d accused Mischa of trying to harm Christy without any proof.
Then he’d become a traitor twice over, when he’d saved Christy’s life and refused to reject her, refused to take her head off for plotting against the Luna to the pack. That was the moment he should have acted. If he had, he’d still have Mischa here in this pack as his Mate and Luna, he’d still have Shade and everything would have worked out fine.
Her affliction would have been resolved with his loyalty and her trusting him once more. He knew it could be resolved because she was now with that other Alpha, and they were openly loving towards each other, which meant her affliction was resolved. Simply by having one she

could trust and love at her side once more.

Harvey stood looking at him for a solid minute, then stated, “If you don’t present yourself, Alpha Dennis will come up here and force you downstairs himself. He also didn’t come alone, so Alpha up and deal with your mistakes and their consequences, being seen by the Wolfen Council and the pack.” Then he’d just turned and walked out of the room.
Anthony sighed and forced himself to get up and shower, dress, but he didn’t care to shave or present himself as he once had. He wasn’t in any mood to deal with anyone. He was still suffering the rejection and loss of his wolf. He was depressed and demoralized and didn’t want to be near anyo

Anthony’s jaw tightened as he watched Sean, the pack’s new Gamma, turn and walk away without so much as greeting him, step over and join his Alpha unit and smile and shake both Kendrick and Dereck’s hands and greet them. “It’s good to finally meet you in person.” Sean
stated.
They both smiled and looked happy to meet him as well, but those very words, ‘in person.’ Meant that they knew there was a Gamma coming to fill the spot and neither had bothered to inform him. Anthony’s eyes moved from them to Parrish now, as he took in the size of him. He stood an inch taller than Anthony, had blonde curly hair and grey eyes, he was all muscled up, and wearing a suit.
He was here presenting himself; he smiled right at Anthony as Dennis stated, “Anthony, this is Alpha Parrish, personally handpicked by myself and my Wolfen Council.”
“To do what exactly, monitor me and how I run the pack?” Anthony bit out, though he was certain, by the way, that Alpha was smiling at him; that was not it at all.
“No, I’m here to replace you,” Parrish stated simply.
Anthony stared hard at him and saw Parrish’s amusement. That man knew he was wolf-less, would be able to smell it. Being angry about this was one thing, but he also knew there was now nothing he could do about it. He couldn’t challenge anyone for the right to keep his place as Alpha, he’d lose.
“At the request of your own Elders,” Dennis added, drawing his attention to him again. “And a full pack wide vote. Your entire pack has opted to reject you and see you leave the pack, take your…” Dennis looked to Christy, “Traitor of a Mate that you refuse to reject and cling to, state she’d redeemed herself only she hasn’t, from all I heard. They voted to kick both of you out and choose a new Alpha’s bloodline to be seated in full, seeing as Luna Mischa didn’t want the pack herself.”
He turned and looked at his own Elders, “Just when did you do that?” he grated out.
“When you finally took Christy to the Rising Blue Lotus, why do you think I forced your hand? I needed you out of the pack, so none felt obligated to vote for you,” Harvey stated, “Do you want the results… 100% voted to replace you. Because you failed as an Alpha to kill a traitor, that tried to have you kill your own Luna.”

“What right do you have?” Anthony asked directly.
“If you would like to duel me,” Parrish smiled at him, “My wolf and I will do so. It was always on the cards we knew. But I don’t think you can beat me now. But if you insist, I’ll step up,

“Though if you want to do this the hard way, you’ll end up banished to the wilds of rogue territory with nothing to your name. Those are your options. I’ll give you exactly one minute to make your choice,” Dennis stated. “I’ll be revoking your bloodline to this pack in full and bringing Parrish’s bloodline to it within the hour. There will be no messing about as far as the council is concerned.”
One minute! He could hardly believe it. This was the Alpha who had taught him everything, including fairness. This was anything but fair as far as he was concerned. His hand was being forced and he knew it. He didn’t even really have anywhere to go. He didn’t know if an allied pack would take him in.
They certainly weren’t going to take in a she-wolf like Christy. His eyes moved towards her, and she was glaring at him. “You’re wolf-less?” she bit out.
“Yes, lost Shade when Mischa rejected us,” he told her.
“You’re so fucking weak,” Christy yelled at him. “I reject you as my Mate, you’re not worthy of
me.”
