118 Advice from my future Luna
The following morning, before dawn, the imperial city of Celestia was still bustling as it ever was in spite of its imperfections.
Many people were still recovering from the full moon’s effects, many others were enjoying their wins and losses, and word that Nikolai had been named the new Alpha of Celestia was making its way throughout Celestia and the rest of the world.
Ophelia grinned as she opened her eyes, feeling the warmth of being in Nikolai’s arms. It was a peaceful feeling that helped her forget all of her problems and she wanted to stay in that state forever.
Despite the warm sensation, she started to think about what had happened the night before. She moaned, clutching to Nikolai and burying her face in his chest, realizing that she passed out and missed Nikolai’s coronation as a result of everything happening like an avalanche that showed no mercy on her soul.
“Alpha Nikolai?” She called in a low, slightly muddled voice.
“Sounds appealing coming from you.” Nikolai’s chest vibrated as those words erupted casually.
With a chuckle, Ophelia lifted her head from his chest to take in his attractive face. He held her as tightly as she clung to him, his crimson eyes
wide open, sparkling and whirling as they fixed on her intensely.
“I couldn’t make it to your coronation. I feel bad.” She avowed.
“Hmm?” Nikolai twitched his lips. “I’m actually glad you missed it.”
Nikolai couldn’t help but ponder Ophelia’s possible reactions if she learned that there was a second mate. Was their encounter inescapable? He felt anxious. A bit.

“Oh?” Ophelia was stunned.
As she stared at him wondering why he said that, the memory of Nikolai biting into her neck flashed in her head and she gasped and put her hand on her neck right away to feel the bite mark.
“Fuck! It’s still there.” She gasped.
“Does it hurt?” Nikolai asked, placing his hand on hers which she slowly moved away giving him access to feel the mark.
“It doesn’t.” She smiled.
She smiled at Nikolai, who said, “You look so cheerful this morning.”
“Do I usually seem dejected?”
“No, my statement is just my current observation because I can’t stop staring at you.” He whispered and pressed his lips on her forehead.
Ophelia felt her face heat up. Nikolai was so endearing.
“I’m starving,” She mumbled as she pushed herself up against his body while holding onto his hair.
“Me too.” he huskily muttered and captured her lips.
Ophelia kissed him back, giggling and smiling against his lips. She melted, still unable to accept that Nikolai was the only one capable of invoking such intense, unexplained feelings throughout her entire existence. He clung to her more tightly, acting as if he couldn’t get enough of her and like he was utterly out of it.
But as the kiss grew too passionate, Nikolai let out a harsh growl of dissatisfaction and pulled away from the confused and dazed Ophelia.
“Wh…?”
Nikolai cut Ophelia off by holding her tightly as if she were about to vanish.

Rhaziel pushed open the door and entered, singing “Nikolai” while carrying a platter of hot meals. He approached the table, set the tray down there, and then turned to face the bed where the pair was pretending to be asleep, sporting a slight scowl.
“You need to get out of bed, Alpha Nikolai of Celestia.” He chastised.
Ophelia managed to control her laughter, and as soon as Nikolai picked up on it, he tightened his hold on her waist and drew her in closer until a substantial part of him was plastered against her stomach.
She almost screamed.
“Stand up Nikolai,” Rhaziel groaned and glared at Nikolai, who was curled up on the bed with Ophelia in his arms and his eyes closed. “Nikolai!”
“Don’t bother me.” Nikolai muttered, grabbing the blanket and tugging it up to cover his and Ophelia’s face.
Rhaziel took a deep breath and turned to face the platter of sizzling food and the crystal goblet containing the blood.
He had expected Nikolai to be dressed and ready for his daily duties when he entered the room, but the reverse was true.
Rhaziel yelled, “Alpha Nikolai,” once more, this time in a low, irritated tone, before returning his attention to Nikolai.
“Not even morning has broken yet.” Nikolai grumbled under the cover.
“You need to travel to the city today, speak with the guarding officers, and write a letter to the ice dragon requesting that he cease escalating the cold.” Rhaziel scowled at the blanket as he listed.
“There isn’t a polite way to request anything from that ice dragon.” Indignantly, Nikolai shoved the blanket away from his body.
“Are you familiar with the ice dragon?” Ophelia jumped in with a question,

her eyes wide with surprise, and she sat down right away.
“Are you familiar with the ice dragon?” Nikolai questioned her, imitating her
surprised tone.
Rhaziel heaved a long breath. “Nikolai, get up; I brought her breakfast per your instruction.”
“No.” Nikolai sobbed with Ophelia in his arms and his face buried in her neck. “I would like to remain here with my bride.”
Ophelia giggled, feeling a little embarrassed that Nikolai was acting in this way in front of Rhaziel. However, when she looked at the demon, she saw that he was more happy than uncomfortable. Rhaziel always gave Nikolai the look of a proud father gazing at his kid.
Rhaziel looked at Ophelia, sighing. He mouthed, “Get him out of bed,” and she grinned back.
“You are now Alpha, Nikolai.” Ophelia said, prodding his cheek.
“And my Beta is that demon. He is supposed to handle everything in my absence.” Nikolai said idly, grasping Ophelia’s wrist.
The revelation that Rhaziel, a powerful demon, was Nikolai’s beta shocked Ophelia.
“Stop being so lazy.” She reprimanded him and pushed him away before sitting down and examining the food tray.
“I don’t think Rhaziel should be your beta,” She admitted as she got out of bed, grabbed the food tray, and sat down on the chair next to the table.
“Oh.” Rhaziel smiled.
“How come you say that?” Nikolai questioned, his eyebrows furrowed in
surprise.
Ophelia began by guzzling her orange juice before speaking. “Rhaziel is

more of a father figure and is accustomed to cleaning up after you.”
Nikolai blinked. “But he doesn’t complain.” Then he forced himself out of the bed, made his way over to her, and took the glass of blood from the tray.
“I believe you should select a cousin.” suggested Ophelia.
“I agree with her on this.” Rhaziel quickly concurred.
Nikolai scowled as he drank a tiny bit of the blood in his glass. “I just selected Rhaziel to be my beta in order to gauge their responses.”
“And?” Ophelia enquired while showing interest.
“Naturally, my father, uncles, and their wives are opposed.” Nikolai gave a neutral response.
“Viktor will make an excellent Beta. He cares for you.” Ophelia said confidently as she chopped and ate her sauced beef with elegance.
