142 Distorted rage
Materializing in the throne room which was covered in blood and the disfigured bodies of red moon witches, Nikolai narrowed his fierce enraged gaze at his father who was now seated on the throne. His right arm was missing, his body was abnormally pale due to the blood spewing
nonstop.

Even a powerful pure-blooded lycan like Alexander wouldn’t be able to sustain that much blood loss.
“Will you please leave my throne? It is being stained by your filthy blood.” Nikolai hissed, dripping a pitch-black mist from his body that rapidly enveloped the entire space.
Alexander remained still. He appeared to be edging closer to death.
Unknown to everyone, Pain, who had assumed his invisible form, had remained in the room and had connected his hearing sense to Nikolai’s while Alexander and Ophelia were speaking.
“You’re already dying. I’ve just brought your demise closer.” Nikolai sighed, shaking his head slowly then materialized in front of Alexander. “Alexander, you deserve everything that’s happening to you.”
“You have no idea.” Alexander coughed loudly.
“Believe me. I have a lot of knowledge that I shouldn’t have.” Nikolai grinned heartily. “You killed me, remember? And now I’m doing the same as it’s meant to be and I am going to devour…”
“Nikolai.” The chamber reverberated with Rhaziel’s voice.
With a heavy sigh, Nikolai turned to look at the demon, who was looking at him warily. “What?”

“Hurry up.” Rhaziel shot back and strode off.
Nikolai rolled his eyes and turned to look at his dying father once more. “You heard him. Let’s conclude this right away.”
What Nikolai didn’t anticipate was that as Alexander’s eyes began to well up with tears, the most horrifying words immediately followed. “Nikolai, I apologize for everything. Your mother cursed me in order to protect you, yet despite me breaking all rules that day to kill you, you still managed
to…”
“What?” With shock filling every fiber of his being, Nikolai asked.
“I..I wanted to kill you from the minute I knew you were the child of doom, and when your mother caught me in the act, she cursed me, saying that if I kill you, I’ll suffer tremendously in every way. Nevertheless, I killed you
and…”
“Enough!” Nikolai shouted, slightly shaking the ground under him.
Bloodlust burned fiercely in his eyes. “Are you trying to explain mother’s negligence or are you trying to apologize?”
The urge to sink his hand into Alexander’s chest grew! All he wanted was for Alexander to close his trap!
“Nik…” Alexander grinned and coughed out blood. “My passing doesn’t inspire joy. It doesn’t necessarily follow that Celestia won’t be successful. That dragoness will perish at your hands because you will do everything in your power to make Celestia great and powerful.””
“What are you talking about?” Nikolai questioned through his clenched teeth. “You’re talking too much for a dying man.”
“You are paying too much attention,” Alexander sighed. “The prophecy of the child of doom. The one that everyone is aware of only has 25% of the information.”

Nikolai’s face darkened. “Do you have any knowledge of my previous
existence?”
“The blood moon god. Yes. Why do you think the blood pearl is the only object that has the ability to render you mentally incoherent? It is all fate.”
“Fate?!” Nikolai asked and bursted into laughter, shoving his hand into Alexander’s chest. “Bullshit! This doesn’t make up for the fact that you hurt my MATE!”
Alexander cried out in excruciating pain.
Nikolai’s deep crimson eyes darkened. It was a hybrid of his wolf shape and demon form, and it was terrifyingly foreboding. With a single tug, he removed Alexander’s heart, which was pounding frantically in his firm
hold.
His fangs protruded and his snake tattoo, which was supposed to be at his neck, unexpectedly slithered to the side of his face as he glared at the beating heart with insane hunger. Its eyes, which should have been closed, were open and blood red. And as his blood lust became apparent, dark veins appeared beneath his eyes.
Like someone staring at food, he fixed his gaze on it. He then tightened his hold before carefully bringing the heart to his mouth.
“Nikolai!” Nikolai heard Rhaziel’s voice boom, and as he turned to face the source of the sound, he was slapped directly where the snake tattoo laid.
Nikolai became stern.
He was looking at Rhaziel, who had a relieved look on his face.
“What on earth do you think you are doing?” Alina questioned with a growling deep warning.
“How dare you?” Nikolai questioned turning to face his mother, his eyes

widening with intense, distorted rage. He took her wrist in his hand and could feel her heartbeat. “How about I take yours as well?”
The moment Alina’s eyes widened, Nikolai abruptly blasted her with his mist, which came at her full force.
She was thrown across the room, landing with her back against a solid wall. Then spat out blood and stiffened up as Nikolai took gentle, yet hefty strides toward her.
Rapidly approaching Nikolai, Rhaziel slapped him where his snake tattoo laid, burying his claws into his skin in the process.
With a hiss, Nikolai let the heart drop to the floor. The snake’s eyes closed, and it returned to his neck.
“Stay calm!” As Nikolai gave him a savage gaze, Rhaziel screamed.
Nikolai felt himself falling out of his instinctive need as blood was
mindlessly streaming out the side of his face, and he glared at his mother, who was watching him with tremendous distress.
Even though she had been struck, she was still standing straight and just had a small amount of blood on her lips.
“What day would be ideal for my wedding?” Nikolai questioned with a voice that was incredibly soft and low, as if he hadn’t just attempted to eat his father’s heart.
“The day of the shower of crystal stars.” Alina spoke, exhaling heavily.
