Selene’s eyes swept across the gods, narrowing in displeasure. The gods, in turn, didn’t bother to conceal their shock and discontent at her sudden
arrival.
“Are you here to help him?” Zephyr asked, his brow furrowed in a deep
frown.
Selene’s attention shifted to Nikolai, who stood frozen, his eyes vacant and lifeless. A faint smile played on her lips as she regarded him.
Unbeknownst to her, Tiana had secretly instructed Nikolai to cease his attack upon seeing Selene, and the goddess’s unexpected arrival had caught her off guard.
“I thought we were partners, Zephyr,” Selene said, her voice dripping with an air of subtle reprimand.
Zephyr’s expression turned grim. “We were, Selene, and we still are – if you intend to destroy him. There’s no hope left for him.”
The other gods murmured in unanimous agreement, their faces set in
determined lines.
Selene’s chuckle was a melodious sound, but it was short–lived. Her glowing white eyes hardened, turning as unforgiving as stone as she glared at Nikolai fiercely. “Unfortunately for you, I am here to save him.”
A blast of radiant white light exploded from her body, striking Nikolai with incredible force. He was sent flying, his body crashing into the walls of nearby houses again and again, until he finally slumped to the ground, broken and battered.
Tiana’s voice screamed in Nikolai’s mind, “No, no, no! Stand up and-”

But Selene was merciless. She appeared above Nikolai in an instant, unleashing another blast of energy that pinned him to the ground. The earth cracked beneath him, and his body shuddered under the onslaught.
Nikolai’s body convulsed, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood. More blood flowed from his wounds, his ears, and his nose, as his injuries seemed to worsen with each passing moment.
Tiana’s voice shrieked in Nikolai’s mind, “No! Get up! Get up right now!”
But Selene’s smile only grew, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
Just then, Sasha and Skylar materialized beside Nikolai’s battered form. In perfect sync, they began to weave spells, channeling their magical energy into Nikolai’s broken body.
In an instant, Nikolai’s form vanished, leaving behind a faint shimmer. He reappeared in a darkness that was all too familiar – a void he had
desperately sought to escape.
However, deep within… a deep sense of relief washed over Nikolai, and he let go, surrendering to the darkness.
Two weeks later…
The imperial city of Celestia was still dazed from the aftermath of the blood moon and the devastating loss of its royal family, including the unexpected demise of Boris Novikov. As the city’s reconstruction efforts progressed, the gods returned to their realm, leaving behind only Zephyr and Selene.
In the council chamber, a gathering of Sasha, Pavel, Viktor, Vladmir, and Danil – convened to discuss the forthcoming transformations that would reshape Celestia once the war with Tiana was concluded.
Tiana, still wielding control over Nikolai, had not broken him out of Nexus in over two weeks.

“Alpha lords?” Vladmir inquired, his voice momentarily infused with
excitement, only to be swiftly diminished. “I must admit, I rather liked that plan… But what if we…”
Sasha let out a frustrated groan, shoving her fingers into her hair. “Nothing will happen to us, Vlad. We’ve already got too much on our plates. I just… I want to see Nikolai’s vision through. Even Boris was excited about it, despite his reservations.”
Pavel nodded in agreement. “For once, I’m on board with this plan. But you two,” he said, narrowing his eyes at Viktor and Danil, “need to keep your godly powers in check. We don’t need any more… unpredictability.”
Danil’s eyes suddenly went wide with horror. “Wait, does this mean our powers will be passed down to our children?”
The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on Danil.
“You have kids already?!” The group’s collective voice rose in unison.
Danil’s face turned bright red as he panicked, “What?! No! Of course not!”
The others scoffed, their faces a picture of disappointment.
Viktor rolled his eyes at his brother. “What exactly have you been up to with
all those she–wolves all this time?”
Danil merely shrugged, puffing on his smoke pipe. “Maybe I’ve got a secret baby or two. Who knows?”
Just then, a guard entered the room, and Sasha sprang to her feet, her eyes shining with hope. “Has Ophelia been found?”
“No… no,” The guard bowed his head.
Danil’s face fell into a deep frown. “It’s time for me to take charge of this search. Two weeks is far too long.” he muttered, rising from his seat.
The guard cleared his throat, his expression somber. “King Cyrus of Antica

has arrived, along with King River of Fireria and Ashton Petrov.”
The Novikovs exchanged wide–eyed glances before swiftly rising to their feet. With a sense of urgency, they filed out of the council room, making their way to the throne room.
As they arrived at the throne room, a striking figure approached Sasha. He was an identical version of Rhaziel, albeit with shorter hair, and his wide, curious eyes sparkled with excitement. “Hello, have you seen my brother? He’s ye tall, with dull eyes, a grumpy face, and-”
Danil’s eyes went wide, and he pressed his hand to his chest, staring at the demon in awe. “Oh, my goddess!”
Viktor, meanwhile, slapped his forehead and made his way to the other guests, bowing his head politely. “Welcome to Celestia.”
River, Ophelia’s twin brother, bowed graciously. “The honor is mine.” His chiseled features and piercing gaze commanded attention, but it was his polite demeanor that put the Novikovs at ease.
King Cyrus, the ice dragon, surveyed the room with an icy gaze. “The city is not as ravaged as I expected. You’ve made significant progress with the rebuilding efforts.” His voice was as cold as his tone, sending a shiver down the spines of those present.
