Pandemonium reigned within the castle walls of Leimpia. Guards scurried about, frantic to locate the dragon responsible for the destruction and the gruesome discovery of the ashed lycan skeleton.
Meanwhile, Dominik had snatched the sunstone and hastened to Ophelia’s chambers. As he entered, the stone vanished from his grasp, only to
reappear floating above Ophelia’s head.
“What… what is that?” His voice trembled as he stumbled backward,
shocked.
Before he could react, the sunstone plunged into Ophelia’s forehead, disappearing from view.
Dominik’s face contorted in horror. “Ophelia!” he gasped, fear clawing at his voice. He rushed to her side, sweeping her into his arms.
“No! No! This wasn’t supposed to happen!” Panic consumed him, and with a desperate roar, he smashed through the wall, transforming into his dragon form as he burst free.
With Ophelia clutched tightly in his claws, Dominik soared into the sky, vanishing into the distance.
Esmeralda’s eyes widened in shock as she took in the chaos surrounding her. “What in the world?!” she exclaimed, stunned. “I close my eyes for one second, and the castle is in shambles?”
Rushing to Ophelia’s chambers, her heart sank as she found the bed empty and a massive hole gouged into the wall.
A deep frown etched her face, her anger boiling over. “That bastard!” she

screamed, her voice echoing through the corridors.
Later, Esmeralda oversaw the repairs, ensuring the damages were fixed and the castle’s defenses reinforced. She also arranged for Boris’s remains to be properly buried, paying her respects to her fallen acquaintance. Maybe…
A meeting with the council members followed, where Esmeralda
announced her decision to return to Celestia and aid in the war effort. And without hesitation, she set off back to the land of the wolves. Her thoughts consumed by the enigmatic demon. Rhaziel Petrov.
Valerian strode through the imperial castle’s hallway, his forehead smeared with blood. He wiped it away with the back of his hand, his tongue darting out to lick a trickle of blood from his lip.
“That battle wasn’t what I had imagined.” A deep frown creased his face as he pushed open the door to Vladmir’s chambers.
Inside, Vladmir sat cross–legged on his bed, his glowing white eyes wide open in meditation.
Valerian’s breath caught in his throat as he approached. “If he knows he’s not going to win the battle against the gods, he’ll come for you.”
“I can summon her here.” Vlad’s voice cut through the silence.
Valerian’s eyes widened, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed hard. “That would only spark a war between the sun gods and moon gods,”
“There’s no way Nikolai can win against multiple gods. I’ll summon Selene.”
Vladmir insisted.
Valerian’s sigh was heavy with defeat, his shoulders sagging under the weight of impending doom. “Can you summon her and maintain control over the moon?”

“Yes, just find my sister and keep her safe. We need to survive these remaining hours unscathed.” Vlad replied, determination in his voice.
Valerian’s smirk was a bitter, mirthless thing. He stared at his hand, the blood–stained flesh. “Easy for you to say,” he muttered, before turning on his heel and storming out of the chamber.
He slammed the door shut behind him, casting a protection spell to seal the room from potential threats. Then, in a flash of movement, he vanished and reappeared in the library.
The scene before him was one of eerie silence. Sasha and Skylar lay
unconscious on the floor, their bodies still and lifeless.
Valerian’s eyes widened in alarm as he rushed to Sasha’s side. She opened her eyes weakly, her gaze fluttering up to meet his.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.
“We are…” Skylar groaned, slowly rising to her feet as Valerian helped Sasha
“We found Tiana,” Skylar explained, rubbing her sore head, “but she attacked us before we could even react.”
Valerian’s expression turned grim. “I think it’s best if you two join the other beasts in the safer parts of Celestia, or better yet, head to Leimpia.”
Sasha’s eyes flashed with anger as she jerked away from Valerian’s supporting arm. “The blood moon only has one hour left. I need to get that blood pearl from that witch before she hurts more of my family!”
Sasha disappeared in an instant, leaving Valerian to sigh and cast a pitiful glance at Skylar. “Do you know where she went?”
Skylar nodded slowly. “The battlefield.”
Valerian turned to leave, but Skylar’s grasp on his arm halted him. “We can

still execute our plan to lock him in Nexus,” she said, her breathing labored. “We just need powerful assistance to pin him down long enough for us to seal him away.”
Valerian’s smirk was a thin, mirthless line. “We’re already working on that. But you and Sasha must be the ones to move him to Nexus without any of us intervening directly.”
Skylar’s face lit up with a determined smile as she nodded vigorously. “I’m
on it.” With that, she vanished into thin air.
Valerian’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “This might just work.”
Rhaziel perched atop one of the city’s rooftops, Pain by his side, his dull eyes concentrated intently on the battle unfolding below.
Nikolai clashed with the gods, his movements merciless as he struck down several of his opponents. Despite the gods‘ valiant efforts, Nikolai’s regenerative abilities allowed him to heal from his wounds time and again, his beast form granting him a temporary reprieve before he refocused his divine powers.
Rhaziel’s lips curled into a faint, knowing smile. “The souls have definitely
merged.”
“How did you guys manage to evacuate all the wolves from the capital?” Just then, a melodious voice pierced the air, sending a jolt of surprise through Rhaziel.
His eyes widened as he turned to behold a beautiful dark fairy, her presence a warm light that brightened the rooftop. A soft smile played on her lips, and Rhaziel’s heart skipped a beat as he drank in the sight of her.
“Esmeralda!” He swept her into a tight embrace, burying his face in the crook of her neck. “What are you doing here? Sasha told me…”
