72 Not strange for Nikolai
72 Not strange for Nikolai
Each Novikov family member was present in the throne room, where Yulia could be seen panting heavily, her eyes taking on their blue wolf like appearance, and her hair looking scraggly. She appeared to have gone years without sleeping. 1
“My cue to leave.” Rhaziel left right away, and Nikolai moved in the direction of his family looking totally unfazed.
“Nikolai.” Alexander, who was perched on the throne, growled. Everyone in the room turned to look at Nikolai.
As soon as Yulia spotted him, she screamed loudly and charged towards him, but Boris grabbed her quickly and held her tightly.
The identical tone as his father’s strained call, “Alexander,” was made by
Nikolai.
“Is Yulia telling the truth?” Alexander enquired.
“You’re messed up, creature!” Yakim/growled at Nikolai with his fangs bared
in rage.
Nikolai almost innocently blinked. “What?”
“I can’t believe this.” Sasha said, shaking her head. She detested her family strife. Actually, there hadn’t been any family strife for a tine. When Nikolai was transported to the portal prison, it subsided; when he returned, it erupted.
“You dug out her coffin after everything you did?” Again, Yakim screamed.
“Depressing.” Sighing, Nikolai snapped his tongue. “It’s really… Interesting that you all buried her where she was killed,”
The chief warrior wanted to tear him apart, but when he remained

motionless, Nikolai grinned. His excitement was so intense that everyone looked at him as though he had horns.
“No regrets, no resentments; this bullshit happened three hundred years ago, and we should put it behind us.” Nikolar spoke slowly and in a sing-song voice, his eyes whirling darkly. “Aren’t we family, after all? the most powerful lycans in existence.”
“You bastard!” Yulia screamed with fury. While she struggled, her struggle was being held by Boris, who had a furious look on his face.
“Family?” Boris laughed.
“You only have our surname after your name! You’re not related to me. You do not even have our link to the unified mind!” Vladmir yelled and folded his arms across his chest, looking dissatisfied. “Excavating Tiana’s grave is just twisted,” Muttering, he shrugged.
“Why did you do that specifically?” Pavel enquired with great curiosity.
“Totally psycho.” Danil murmured gravely.
As his mother’s eyes unexpectedly locked with Nikolai’s, his demeanor grew grave. She appeared incredibly neutral, in contrast to others. Possibly as a result of her birthday. She was supposed to be lecturing him right about now, but she wasn’t, and Nikolai didn’t like it. There was a thought process going on in her head.
“Why would you carry out such a deed?” Viktor appeared somewhat bewildered.
“Enough!” Alexander thundered. The throne room almost appeared to shake, and all eyes were drawn to him.
“Today is meant to be a happy day. It would be wonderful if you all choose to disregard Nikolai’s strange behavior.” Alexander said in a cool, cunning tone while glaring angrily at Nikolai. “He’ll be held accountable.”

That expression was one Nikolai recognized. His devoted father was a man of his word. Along time had passed. Alexander was utterly pitiful in his
eyes.
Yulia beamingly grinned. “I’m grateful.”
However, Boris and Yakim didn’t seem content. Although they were aware that Nikolai’s punishment was always severe, they nevertheless wished to teach him a serious lesson.
Sasha sighed with annoyance as she went by Nikolai. As she left the throne room, she heaved a long sigh.
Devin spoke up and strode over to Nikolai, who was now sporting a fully unconcerned expression. “Until then, Nikolai walk with me,”
“Shall we?” He asked, smiling calmly, and then passed by Nikolai.
Nikolai frowned at his mother, who appeared to be waiting for him to speak to her. He grinned before walking after Devin.
As soon as he left the throne room, Anastasia Novikov made a statement. “I believe we need to determine the real reason he removed Tiana’s coffin. It’s really strange.”
“Not strange for Nikolai,” murmured Danil.
Yulia exhaled heavily. She was more composed than before, and Boris acknowledged this by letting go of her. Her palms were slightly trembling as she lowered her gaze. She had revealed to everyone what Nikolai had done the previous evening, but she had taken off the portion of the Tiana’s Blood Pearl Necklace that Nikolai seemed to have an odd fascination with. Before telling anyone about the necklace, she wanted to learn what made it special.
“I believe Nikolai has something with him that is called Pain.” Slowly, Yulia spoke.

“Huh?!” Vladimir questioned in a high pitched voice, looking at Yulia as if
she were a moron.
“Pain?” Curious, Maria enquired.
“According to Nikolai, the guard who offered to accompany me out of the castle was dispatched by Uncle, but he is nowhere to be found. He assured me that Pain would look after the guard.” Yulia explained in a trembling
