Chapter Two Hundred Fourteen
“Are you done with your little strategy meeting?” Thorrie asked mockingly, his crimson eyes moving from Diana to Talon, then finally settling on Ravenna. A cruel smile stretched across his face. “Did I give you enough time to comfort one another? Enough time to exchange your final words?”
His laughter echoed through the devastated battlefield.
“I am not an unreasonable man… or perhaps I should say, I am not an unreasonable curse.” He spread his arms dramatically. “I gave you time to talk. Time to hope. Time to believe there was still another way.”
His smile slowly disappeared.
“But that time is over.”
The darkness surrounding him thickened, swallowing the moonlight.
“It is time to end this.”
His eyes locked onto Diana.
“It is time for me to have my revenge, Silver Wolf.”
His voice carried across the battlefield like thunder.
“I will make you watch. I will make you watch every person you love die. I will make you feel exactly what I felt when you stole everything that belonged to me.”
His black magic erupted from his body, causing the earth beneath everyone’s feet to crack. Diana stepped forward despite Artemis warning her to stay back.
“I never took anything from you.”
Her voice was calm despite the danger surrounding them.
“I never stole your mate. You never even knew Agatha.”
She looked directly into Thorne’s eyes.
“You are not Gideon.”
The words made him freeze for the briefest moment.
“You had Ravenna. You had someone who loved you with everything she had. You had a family. You had an unborn child waiting for you.”
Diana pointed toward Ravenna.
“She chose you. She never abandoned you. You were the one who abandoned her.”
She could see his fingers tightening.
“You chose the curse. You chose Gideon’s hatred. You chose revenge over your own mate. You chose to leave your own family behind. You-”

“SHUT UP!”
Thorne’s roar shook the entire battlefield.
“SHUT UP!”
The ground exploded beneath his feet. Dark magic burst outward in every direction.
“Stop saying those lies!”
His hands clutched his head.
“I don’t have a mate! I don’t have a child! I only have one purpose! To destroy the Silver Wolf! Who took all that I have!”
His face twisted painfully. Without another word… He attacked. The earth beneath Talon suddenly erupted.
Dozens of black spikes burst upward like giant spears. Fenrir reacted instantly. The enormous black wolf leaped backward, avoiding the first wave by inches before charging directly toward Thorne.
His roar shook the forest. Every warrior still fighting stopped for a heartbeat as their Alpha King launched himself toward the Black Witch. Fenrir moved with incredible speed. His jaws were only moments away from tearing into Thorne’s throat-
Then… Thorne vanished. His body dissolved into black smoke. Fenrir’s bite closed on empty air.
“Talon! Behind you!” Diana shouted.
Too late. The black smoke reformed behind Fenrir. Thorne appeared with one hand already coated in condensed dark magic. He slammed his palm into Fenrir’s side.
BOOM!
The impact sounded like thunder. Fenrir’s enormous body flew through the air. He crashed into several massive trees before finally hitting the ground. The force alone split the earth beneath him. Blood poured from deep wounds along his ribs.
“Talon!” Diana cried.
Fenrir whimpered once before shifting back. Talon lay on one knee, blood staining his clothes as he struggled to breathe.
Immediately… Golden light wrapped around him. Ravenna. Despite her already pale face… Despite the exhaustion visible in every movement… She continued pouring healing magic into Talon’s injuries.
His broken ribs slowly reformed. His bleeding lessened. But Ravenna herself staggered. Each spell drained another piece of her strength.
Thorne noticed. His smile widened.
“So… You’ve almost emptied yourself already.”
His eyes gleamed.
Good
Diana didn’t waste another second. Twin blades flashed beneath the moonlight. She attacked relentlessly Every strike was aimed to kill. Left. Right. Spin. Slash. Thorne avoided each attack effortlessly. He looked almost bored.
“You’ve slowed down.”
He casually leaned away from another blade.
“So disappointing.”
Diana refused to stop. She feinted high before suddenly dropping low. Her left blade sliced across his shoulder.
Blood sprayed across the ground. She immediately followed with her second blade- But Thorne simply smiled.
The wound closed before her eyes. Muscle knitted together. Skin reformed. Within seconds… Nothing remained. Diana frowned.
His regeneration… It was even stronger than before.
“A shame.”
Thorne sighed dramatically.
“I wanted to enjoy this.”
He slowly walked toward her.
“You cannot even fight me at your full strength.”
His eyes drifted toward her stomach.
“You’ve become weaker. Slower. Fragile.”
Then he looked toward Ravenna. The White Witch was breathing heavily now. Sweat soaked her forehead. Her healing magic flickered weakly around Talon.
“You…”
He laughed softly.
“You’ve nearly exhausted yourself.”
He turned back toward Diana.
“I possess greater magic. Greater power. My feral army surrounds your pack.”
He spread his hands.
“And what do you have?”
His voice became almost pitying.

“A bleeding mate…”
He nodded toward Talon.
“A White Witch whose magic is nearly gone…”
He looked at Ravenna.
“And a Silver Wolf…”
His smile darkened.
“…who can barely protect herself.”
He took another step.
“I think… You are the weakest Silver Wolf I’ve ever fought. I can almost taste my victory.”
Black magic gathered inside his palm. The darkness twisted violently until it resembled liquid night itself. Without warning…
Roots burst from beneath Diana’s feet. Not ordinary roots. Black vines covered in razor-sharp thorns.
They wrapped around her ankles. Her legs. Her waist. Her wrists.
In an instant… She couldn’t move.
“Diana!” Talon shouted.
He tried to stand- More vines erupted beneath him. They wrapped tightly around his arms and torso, pinning him to the ground.
Fenrir roared furiously. The vines only tightened further.
“Talon!” Diana struggled desperately.
The thorns dug into her skin. Blood trickled down her arms. No matter how hard she pulled… They wouldn’t break.
Thorne slowly raised his hand. Black magic condensed into a massive spear above his palm.
“Goodbye…”
His smile widened.

weak Silver Wolf.”
The spear shot toward Diana.
