Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 101

Gemma knew Ivy had it hard too.

But the doctor had made it clear that her illness needed immediate treatment. It couldn't wait.

Gemma had no idea what kind of man Ivy had married, nor did she know how her sister was truly faring in the city.

But seeing Ivy look so confident, she knew she couldn't back down now.

As long as she survived.

She would find a way to repay Ivy in the future.

Gemma agreed to Ivy's arrangements.

The sisters handled the hospital transfer paperwork overnight and called Gemma's teacher to arrange a medical leave of absence.

Before dawn, Ivy took her sister on the express train back to the city.

Ivy had originally wanted to admit her sister to Metropolitan General.

But the medical fees there were exorbitant, and she simply couldn't afford it.

In the end, she had no choice but to settle for Westside General Hospital.

After completing the admission process and getting Gemma settled into her ward, Ivy rushed back to her own hospital for work.

She had just slipped into her white coat and walked up to the nurse's station when the head nurse handed her a medical chart with a heavy sigh.

"Ivy, that demanding rich kid is back. He suffered a severe back injury this time. He'll probably be hospitalized for a long time, and he specifically requested you to handle his care."

Ivy was a bit confused until she flipped the chart open.

When she saw Ethan Foster's name, she didn't feel any disgust. Instead, she felt a strange thrill, as if the universe was actually tossing her a lifeline.

It wasn't that she wanted Ethan to get hurt.

But if the wealthy heir was hospitalized, didn't that mean she could earn extra money again?

As for whether Mr. Foster would get angry later, she didn't care!

As long as she was earning money through her own hard work, his opinion didn't matter.

Ivy quickly went to prep the medications, asking the head nurse as she worked.

"When did he come in? How did he get hurt?"

"Apparently, he was racing those incredibly dangerous heavy motorcycles," the head nurse replied. "When they brought him in last night, he was covered in blood. It was terrifying."

At the mention of Ivy's name, the older woman's interest piqued. She stared at the busy young woman, assessing her carefully.

The girl was undeniably beautiful.

And meticulous in her work.

Eleanor glanced at her youngest son.

"Alaric, I want all her files."

Alaric looked at his mother, clearly unamused.

"Why do you need her files?"

"Can't I just take a look? Send them to me later. But if she really is married, then forget it."

If she was already married, it didn't matter how much her eldest grandson liked her. It was a lost cause.

But if she was single, she was worth considering.

"She's married," Alaric stated firmly.

Eleanor looked at him in surprise. "How do you know?"
