There was no way Ivy was actually going to let Mr. Foster teach her the piano.
Ever since that night, just looking at him made her blush fiercely, her heart racing and her legs turning to jelly.
She barely dared to breathe when she was near him, let alone sit right next to him for a one-on-one lesson.
Just the thought of sitting through that was pure torture.
But while she was dead set against it, the child was unrelenting.
After dinner, Stella grabbed her dad's hand with one hand and Ivy's with the other, using every ounce of her tiny strength to drag them both upstairs.
Once they reached The Music Conservatory Room, she gestured for them to sit together at the piano, her voice dripping with sweetness as she smiled.
"Daddy, you teach Mommy, and I'll supervise. You are absolutely not allowed to bully her."
The two adults were utterly speechless.
Sometimes they really felt this kid was far too scheming.
She spent every single day trying to invent new ways to force two people with zero romantic connection together.
When would the kid finally realize that you couldn't force chemistry where there was none?
"Mommy, Daddy, sit down! Don't make me repeat myself."
Stella was starting to lose her patience, her brows furrowing as a pout formed on her little face.
Ivy felt completely out of her element, standing to the side with her head bowed, her palms slick with nervous sweat.
She had technically known Mr. Foster for quite a while now.
They had even been fully intimate once.
But just being alone with him still made her an absolute nervous wreck.
She couldn't even regulate her breathing.
Alaric, however, wasn't about to ruin his daughter's fun like she was.
He took his seat with utter composure, deliberately shifting to leave half the bench open for Ivy.
While Ivy was still frozen in place, Stella dragged her over and pushed her down, speaking with saintly patience.
"Don't be scared, Mommy. Just let Daddy teach you. I'll be right here watching, and if he dares to be mean to you, I'll hit him."
To fully assert her dominance, the little girl even grabbed a violin bow and brandished it with a fierce scowl.
Even if it was just a fleeting moment of passion, the memory was burned into her mind, impossible to shake.
Right now, she was completely lost in those memories, her face burning crimson as she sat tensely beside the man.
In truth, Alaric's composure was rapidly crumbling too.
The exact second Ivy pressed against him on the bench...
He caught the intoxicating, sweet scent radiating off her skin.
And it slammed him right back to the events of that night.
Even though his memory of it was blurred...
He had woken up the next day feeling more satisfied and revitalized than he had in years.
It had lingered in his mind constantly over the past couple of days, fueling a dark, pulsing urge to drag her back to bed and experience it all over again.
But the girl refused to admit anything or make the first move, and considering he had already taken advantage of her once, he couldn't possibly demand more.
What if bringing it up just felt like another violation to her?
