"Mommy, are you and Daddy getting closer and closer? Does that mean I'm going to get a little brother or sister soon?"

Ivy shot Mrs. Gable an embarrassed look, laughing as she pinched the child's cheek.

"What are you talking about? Having you is more than enough for us. As for a little brother or sister, we can talk about that way in the future."

"No way!"

The little girl pouted playfully. "I want a little brother or sister to play with me! You adults are no fun at all compared to kids."

"I don't care! Mommy, give me a little brother or sister, please? Please?"

Ivy was practically on the verge of tears.

She honestly had no idea how to explain to this child that her relationship with Mr. Foster was nowhere near the point of having children.

Beside them, Mrs. Gable laughed and chimed in.

"Don't you worry, Miss Stella. Your mommy and daddy will absolutely give you one. They're both so incredibly good-looking, any little brother or sister you get is going to be absolutely gorgeous."

Stella's eyes shone with wild anticipation. "Really? Then I want one little brother and one little sister!"

Mrs. Gable took the girl's hand, leading her ahead with a joyous smile.

"That's not a problem at all. Your mommy is still so young! Never mind one brother and one sister—giving you four or five wouldn't be an issue."

"Wow! That's awesome! Then I want two brothers and two sisters. I'll be the boss of all of them, and they'll have to do exactly what I say!"
