Looking at the girl who had suddenly collapsed to the floor, Alaric was slightly taken aback.
He hadn't really said anything, had he?
How had he scared her so much that she collapsed?
Was he really that terrifying in her eyes?
Initially intending to lose his temper, Alaric couldn't bring himself to say anything harsh as he watched the girl trembling before him.
If he really kicked her out, wouldn't he just be proving her words about him being fierce?
Too lazy to argue with someone like her, Alaric ignored her and strode toward his own room.
Ivy remained slumped on the floor for a moment. Seeing Mr. Foster's polished leather shoes gradually disappear, she finally raised her head and let out a heavy sigh of relief.
That was a close call. She had almost touched his reverse scale and gotten banished from The Starlight Estate again.
She absolutely couldn't lose her $20,000 salary and her job with full benefits.
If she lost them, where would she ever find such a generous boss again?
Getting up, Ivy sneaked a glance toward the study. Seeing no sign of Mr. Foster, she prepared to head downstairs for a walk.
But just as she reached the staircase, she heard Mrs. Gable asking someone at the front door:
"Miss, who are you looking for?"
Ivy paused and looked toward the entrance.
She could faintly hear a familiar voice reply.
"I'm looking for Alaric Foster. I'm his niece. My Uncle Alaric lives here, right?"
Ivy was shocked; it was Summer Vance.
Why was she here?
Seeing that Mrs. Gable was about to let her into the villa, Ivy quickly turned back to find Alaric.
Because she was panicking, afraid that Summer would come upstairs, see her, and expose her relationship with Mr. Foster.
She didn't knock and just pushed the master bedroom door open directly.
"Mr. Foster, your nie—"
Before Ivy could finish, she was stunned by the sight before her.
She stared wide-eyed at the half-naked man standing not far away, with his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs.
His thick pectoral muscles and V-shaped eight-pack made Ivy swallow hard uncontrollably.
In that instant, her entire body felt as if it were on fire, turning hot and parched.
Thank goodness Mr. Foster was wearing pants.
What if he hadn't been wearing any?
But then again, for a man in his thirties, having no baldness or beer belly was one thing.
He actually had an eight-pack, and his waist was so perfectly sculpted and muscular it was mouthwatering.
She wondered what it would feel like to touch.
At that thought, Ivy blushed and slapped herself again.
What on earth was she thinking?
It wasn't like she had never dated before.
When she was with Patrick Sterling, she had never even considered that kind of intimacy between a man and a woman.
Why was she suddenly feeling restless just from seeing Mr. Foster's body?
Was she going into heat?
Ivy quickly shook the dirty thoughts from her head and went forward to gather Mr. Foster's clothes and pants.
As she did, she unexpectedly noticed a red lipstick stain on the collar of his white dress shirt.
