Divorce Count Down Chapter 17
Amelia did not believe him.
For Julian, this was a tremendous blow.
But he also knew that he was the one who had worn down her trust in him, and he could only blame himself.
He had rehearsed this outcome countless times in his mind, and it was still within the range of what he could accept
He took a deep breath, and his tone became even more resolute.
“I will prove that everything I said is true, Lia. Please give me one more chance, will you?”
The car had already entered the underground garage and stopped. Amelia unfastened her seatbelt and opened the car door, her voice tinged with a hint of weary indifference.
“Hand me the divorce certificate. Prove whatever you want however you like.”
After saying this, she ignored his reaction and walked straight to the elevator.
As the conversation circled back to divorce, Julian finally understood that she was determined to leave.
His hands clenched tightly into fists, veins bulging on his arms, but he had no way to vent the pain in his heart and could only follow her upstairs.

After entering the password, there was a ding, and the door opened.
Amelia walked in with her head down, hesitating about whether to change her shoes, when a pair of bunny-shaped slippers in the shoe cabinet caught her eye.
These slippers were exactly the same as the pair she often wore at the old house.
But she clearly remembered that she had thrown that pair into the trash on the day she left.
Why was there another identical pair here?
She looked up in confusion, and after seeing the layout of the room, she was stunned.
From the curtains to the teacups, from the cabinets to the wedding photo in the living room, except for the difference in room size, every piece of furniture and decoration was an exact replica of the old house.
Looking at this scene that seemed to defy time and space, Amelia finally couldn’t help but speak.
“Why did you decorate the house like this? And where did you get all these identical items?”
Julian looked around with her, his tone full of nostalgia. ·
“I always thought you would move in with me to start a new life, but I never expected you had already decided to leave and would abandon me here alone. If I didn’t decorate the house like this, I would feel like I had no home. As for these things, they’re not that hard to find, it just takes a bit more effort.”
If not for the deep memories of the past, Amelia might have actually felt

some guilt-for abandoning him.
Now, she was too tired to play along with his act of affection, too tired to even change her shoes, and simply strode inside.
