Divorce Count Down Chapter 18
It took Amelia only ten minutes to compare the information she had gathered and retrieve all the necessary documents.
After checking everything and making sure there were no mistakes, she walked out with the document bag. When she saw Julian slumped at the doorway, she narrowed her eyes.
What kind of act was he putting on this time?
Could he be pretending to be sick just to delay the divorce date?
As she walked up to him, Amelia was highly alert, and her tone was full of suspicion.
“Are you feeling unwell?”
This question was not out of concern, but rather doubt.
Julian could naturally tell the difference.
He shook his head, propped himself up against the door, and managed to force a smile.
“I’m fine, let’s go.”
Seeing him push open the door, Amelia finally let down her guard a little and followed after him.
On the way back to the courthouse, neither of them spoke again.
Amelia kept checking her watch to estimate the time. In her rush, she even took his hand as soon as they got out of the car and hurried upstairs.
Julian remembered that on their wedding day, she was just as impatient -probably afraid he would change his mind.
He hadn’t been in a good mood back then, but seeing how anxious she was, he couldn’t help but laugh, and his fear of marriage lessened a little.
Who would have thought that three years later, they would step into this place again, but this time for a divorce?
Looking at the crowds of couples around them, all there to get divorced, he suddenly felt that divorce wasn’t such a big deal after all.
Since Amelia said their marriage was a mistake, then let it end.
Only by stopping the mistake here would he have a chance to start over.
