Jevon asked, "I thought you said you weren't going to marry her?"
Yorath gave a faint smile. "She proposed to me again."
The room stared at him in stunned silence.
Nyssa's face drained of all color, rendering her completely speechless.
"Are you really going to marry her?" Jevon pressed.
Yorath just smirked, declining to give a straight answer.
At the Phoenix Hotel.
Inside Lachlan's exclusive VIP suite, glasses clinked in celebration.
Ottilie couldn't drink, so she used the excuse of an alcohol allergy.
She stuck to water.
Midway through the dinner, she leaned over to Lachlan. "I've been out for almost two hours. I have to get back."
Lachlan said, "Go ahead. Don't slip up and let Yorath catch on. If you don't make it to the departure point the day after tomorrow, I won't be able to storm his house and drag you out."
Ottilie said her goodbyes and left.
She felt a sinister gaze tracking her from the shadows.
She turned around, but the corridor was empty save for a few passing servers.
The moment she stepped into the elevator, Heath Schmidt rolled out from a secluded corner.
"I can't believe my brother actually lured Yorath's woman to his side!"
He sat in his wheelchair, resting his chin on one hand, his narrow eyes gleaming with a bone-chilling malice.
He rubbed his paralyzed legs, a cruel smile tugging at his lips. "Ottilie, my legs didn't break for nothing."
Heath returned to his private room and shooed all the hostesses out.
He made a call.
"Three hundred grand to break her legs. She'll be filming in a primal forest. I'll have the security team diverted so you can slip in under the cover of darkness. No one will ever know."
"Three hundred grand for one leg? How much for both?" The voice on the other end belonged to Ottilie's own brother, Shawn Sewell.
"A million." Heath tapped a few buttons on his phone, instantly transferring the initial three hundred thousand.
Seeing the money hit his account, Shawn was overjoyed. "I'll throw in ruining her face for free."
