More dangerous?
Yes.
Far more dangerous.
“I never imagined one woman like Summer could cause me this much trouble,” Stella said.
Back in Harbor City, Summer had constantly interfered with her life.
Now that Stella had returned to Eirden, Summer was still threatening her life even after death.
She truly refused to let Stella live in peace.
“That’s why getting you out this way was actually…”
Felix stopped.
Actually what?
Seeing Stella’s expression darken, he did not finish.
He knew she could not accept the way he had done it.
She would never accept it.
But after weighing every option, Felix had only wanted one thing.
For Stella to disappear completely from Aaron’s world.
“What about Ruby?” Stella asked.
Ruby Bailey.
It had been a long time since anyone mentioned her.
Summer’s mother had been behind many of the foolish things Summer had done.
“I haven’t been paying attention to her,” Felix admitted.
The sudden mention of Ruby caught him off guard.
Stella had made Ruby’s life extremely difficult before, so she was probably not doing well now.
“Find out where she is.”
Felix looked at her.
“That woman is extremely cunning,” Stella continued.
When Stella first returned to Eirden, she had kept a close watch on Ruby.
But later, too many things happened, and Stella no longer had the time or energy.
Her own world had been torn apart.
Life truly was like a stage.
No one ever knew what the next act would bring.
Just when you thought the performance was over, something else was always waiting behind the curtain.
“All right,” Felix said.
Stella’s expression remained cold.
She seemed calm enough, but Felix knew she did not want him there.
After everything that had happened, she would need time to process it.
