Lucian glanced at the caller ID and frowned slightly, but he didn't step away from Seraphina. He answered the call right there.
"Speak."
It was his executive assistant, Christian Chase, whose voice drifted faintly through the receiver.
"Boss, the bidding proposal for The Eastside Plot is ready. We've tentatively probed their reserve price at around one point eight billion dollars. Should we increase our margin by another two percent?"
He knew Lucian was dead set on securing this parcel of land.
Lucian pondered for a moment. "It's a prime location. Add the margin. Anything under two point two billion dollars is acceptable. What about the other conglomerates?"
Knowing the enemy was the key to victory.
"The Sullivan Group, the Zeller family, and Westgate Holdings from the south have all shown interest. The Sullivan Group seems particularly determined. I heard Sebastian is overseeing this project personally."
At the mention of 'Sebastian', Lucian's brow furrowed slightly.
He instinctively cast a glance at Seraphina.
She was looking down, taking a sip of water, her expression completely unchanged as if she hadn't even heard the name.
"Keep an eye on them. Figure out everyone's bidding ranges, and get me a detailed assessment before next week," Lucian instructed calmly.
"Understood, Boss. Also, someone from the government sector leaked some news suggesting there might be major developments around the Eastside area in the coming years. The specific planning hasn't been finalized yet. Should we investigate further?"
Lucian was about to speak—
When Little Bean suddenly kicked hard against Seraphina's stomach, acting frantic.
"Mommy, Mommy! Don't let him bid on that land!"
He had been resting recently to regain his strength, and now his abilities had recovered.
Because of that, he needed to conserve his energy to make predictions when it really mattered.
Recalling how flawlessly Little Bean had exposed Sebastian and Sienna's affair at the wedding, Seraphina felt a wave of trust.
After all, on the day of the wedding, Little Bean had perfectly predicted their scandalous secret down to the finest detail.
No one would believe an unborn child had such abilities, but Seraphina had experienced it firsthand. She had no choice but to believe him.
"Mommy, you have to trust me!" Little Bean nudged against her womb, his soft voice filled with anxiety. "He absolutely cannot bid on that land; it's a guaranteed loss! You need to tell Dad right now. Tell him to bid on The Riverside Parcel instead. That’s the real goldmine!"
Seraphina quietly set down her glass of water, a plan already forming in her mind.
Beside her, Lucian was still issuing orders to his assistant. "...Alright, proceed with that strategy. Fine-tune the proposal, and I'll make the final decision before the bid."
