Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 180

Phoenix didn't even lift her head. She gently swirled her wine glass, the crimson liquid leaving seductive trails along the crystal.

"Grandfather, whatever do you mean? Back in the conference room, I specifically asked Phoebe if she was the one who had befriended the Azure Healer. She certainly didn't deny it then."

Alistair suddenly recalled the meeting. Phoenix had indeed asked: *Was it really you who brought in the miracle doctor for Mr. Miller?*

At that time, Phoebe had tacitly agreed!

"Phoebe, how could you be so foolish?!" Alistair trembled with rage, slamming his cane against the floor. "Wanting to prove yourself is one thing, but how could you claim credit for something you didn't do? This is outright fraud!"

Catching a slight tone of protection in the old man's words, Phoebe's eyes flashed with hope.

"Grandfather, I'm just a foster daughter... After Phoenix returned, I was terrified day and night that you'd abandon me." Tears streamed down her face, her body swaying as if she might faint. "I wanted so desperately to prove my worth to this family that I acted on impulse... I was truly wrong!!"

She turned to Phoenix, weeping beautifully. "Phoenix, I shouldn't have stolen your credit. I apologize. Please forgive me..."

Phoenix slowly stood up.

Her shimmering evening gown caught the light like a galaxy draped over her shoulders, radiating an overpowering aura that made her look like a queen surveying her territory.

She elegantly walked up to Phoebe, looking down at that hypocritical face, and suddenly flipped her wrist—

Splash!

The wine poured down, completely drenching Phoebe's head.

Phoebe's eyes widened in shock. The crimson liquid dripped from her hair, leaving her in a wretched state. She glared hatefully at Phoenix. How dared this bitch publicly humiliate her?!

But Phoenix not only dared, she did it with absolute composure.

"Grandfather, as the pillar of the Prescott family, you are the standard for us younger generations."

"Now that Phoebe has committed fraud and nearly ruined the relationship between the Prescotts and the Millers, are we simply going to sweep this massive mistake under the rug with a flimsy apology?"

Phoenix's tone was soft, yet every word cut like a blade, carrying immense weight.

Alistair valued his reputation above all else. He had wanted to downplay the incident, but Phoenix pressed him relentlessly, leaving him no way out.

He gripped his cane tightly, the veins on his hands bulging. He was both shocked and furious. He had severely underestimated this granddaughter. Her ruthlessness and capability were far beyond what he had imagined—she even dared to publicly corner him!

"What do you want?"

Phoenix abruptly let go of her glass.

*Crash!*

The empty crystal glass hit the floor, shattering into countless jagged shards. The sharp noise plunged the hall into a dead silence.

"Phoebe committed fraud and disrespected her superiors. According to our rules, she must face family discipline." Phoenix's gaze was dark, a cold smirk playing on her lips. "Grandfather, you have always been strictly impartial. You'll support me, won't you?"

Phoebe gritted her teeth in despair. Under Alistair's piercing glare, her legs gave out, and she slowly collapsed to the floor.

"Ahhh!"

The moment she hit the floor, the jagged shards effortlessly sliced through her evening gown and pierced her flesh. Blood instantly stained her dress red. The excruciating pain drilled directly into her bones.

From just that single drop, Phoebe was left pale, dripping with cold sweat, and shaking like a leaf.

But it wasn't over.

"Yolanda," Phoenix called softly.

Yolanda's eyes lit up. She immediately stepped forward, her voice ringing clear. "Ms. Prescott, your orders."

"Phoebe has repeatedly disrespected me and has no sense of boundaries. Just to make sure she remembers this lesson—a hundred slaps." Phoenix's voice was as cold as ice, entirely devoid of warmth. "Hit her hard."

Yolanda didn't hesitate for a second. She marched right up to Phoebe.

Phoebe struggled to lift her head, meeting Yolanda's resolute gaze, and trembled with fury.

"You... you low-class servant, you dare lay a hand on me?!"

She had always thought highly of herself, treating subordinates like Yolanda as mere insects. Being slapped by someone she looked down on was a fate worse than death—it was taking her pride and ruthlessly crushing it into the dirt!
