Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 212

"Just rest here, Phoebe. I'll handle the rest."

Sebastian didn't linger and hurriedly left the hospital room.

Watching his retreating back, a sneer crept onto Phoebe's face. "What an idiot. A few fake tears and he believes every word I say."

"Phoenix is the only actual threat in this family. Once I get rid of her, my position as the heiress will be secure." She clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with pure malice.

She was backed into a corner.

She had planned to use the International Jewelry Expo to secure the MK Global partnership, thereby winning back her grandfather's favor.

But now that Phoenix had ruined everything, Phoebe's value to the Prescott family had returned to zero.

She had to find a way to turn the tables, or she would inevitably be kicked out.

Furthermore, Warren and Vanessa Prescott were likely losing faith in her after seeing her outmatched by Phoenix time and time again.

Her instincts told her Vanessa was already starting to doubt her.

"I will never give up my place as the Prescott heiress. Everything in that family belongs to me."

After the International Jewelry Expo concluded.

Phoenix said goodbye to Macy Monroe and Meredith Miller, then had Yolanda Young drive her out of the city toward Highport.

They had barely crossed the Cloudhaven city limits when Pierce texted her.

Pierce: "Coming home?"

Phoenix raised an eyebrow and typed back: "No."

After a moment's thought, she added: "I have some business out of town."

At that moment, Pierce stared at his phone, his brow furrowing as he fell into deep thought.

Why was she leaving the city so suddenly? Was it something important? His chest filled with a mix of curiosity and an undeniable surge of irritation.

"What did she say, Pierce?" Caspian asked, noticing his dark expression. "Did she scream with joy when she found out you bought The Secret of Venus for her?"

"Shut up," Pierce snapped, glaring at him. "Say one more word, and I'll throw you out of this moving car."

Caspian shrank back and offered an awkward smile. "Zipping it. Zipping it right now."

Something was definitely wrong!

Pierce looked genuinely pissed.

Did Phoenix's text tick off the Reaper? Ah! He was dying to know what she had said to make the terrifying man this furious.

Pierce suddenly pocketed his phone and turned to Yancy. "Head to Highport."
