Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 24

Julian swallowed hard, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

He forced the most decent, humble smile he could muster, rushing forward and respectfully offering his business card with both hands. "Leo! Please, calm down! It's all my ignorant sister's fault for causing you trouble! I am the Executive Vice President of Prescott Group, Julian Prescott!"

The gold-embossed Prescott logo on the card looked dim under the hazy club lights.

He spoke rapidly, desperately selling his leverage. "Leo, how about this? That woman over there... uh, Ms. Monroe, the one who's drunk..."

He gestured with his eyes toward the unconscious Macy. "She's a business partner of the Prescott Group. We really can't let outsiders disturb her... Please, be the bigger man and let me take her. As for all the damages tonight... Prescott Group is willing to compensate you with ten million dollars!"

Leo glanced sideways at the card shoved in his face, looking at it as if it were a piece of trash. His lips curled into a brief, contemptuous sneer. "Heh... Prescott Group?"

The smile on Julian's face shattered like fragile porcelain, freezing instantly.

Leo strolled slowly toward him, raising a rough, calloused hand that looked like cracked tree bark. In a deeply insulting manner, he patted Julian's smooth, pale cheek over and over again. The force wasn't heavy, but it lashed against Julian's dignity like an invisible whip. "Ten million..."

He dragged out his words. "I'll take it."

A flicker of hope reignited in Julian's eyes.

Then, Leo's voice dropped abruptly, like a freezing wind blowing straight from hell. "And I'm taking these two women, too!"

"As for you..." He leaned close to Julian's ear, speaking at a volume the entire room could hear, pronouncing every word like a death sentence. "Get the hell out!"

"..." Julian's face went from pale to purple, finally settling into an ashen, sickly gray.

His perfectly styled hair seemed to lose its luster. The carefully constructed dignity of the 'Executive Vice President' was mercilessly crushed and ground into the dirty floorboards by Leo.

"Tsk."

A clear click of the tongue echoed.

Phoenix didn't even bother rolling her eyes.

Look at this. How familiar. This 'blood-related' brother of hers always had the same disgusting face—self-righteous, hypocritical, utterly selfish. The second disaster struck, the very first person he would sacrifice was this 'sister' whom the entire family deemed a disgrace.

"Enough!" Leo completely lost his patience. The explosive rage building in his chest was thoroughly ignited by this endless sibling bickering.

He violently kicked a fallen chair aside. Amid the harsh scrape and the terrified gazes of the crowd, he roared, "Shut the hell up! You think I care about your pathetic family drama on my turf?!"

His eyes swept over Phoenix and Macy, carrying unmasked possessiveness and destructive cruelty, finally ready to hand down his ruling. "Now! Both of you bitches get over here..."

"Oh?" A clear, frigid voice, ringing like striking jade, fell from the shadows of the second-floor staircase. It carried absolute zero temperatures and unquestionable authority.

"Leo, what exactly do you plan to do with my fiancée?"
