Even with Pierce's impressive combat skills, fending off the relentless barrage of crossbow fire on his own was a losing battle.

Their only way out was for him to buy Phoenix enough time to reach the Veneno. Only then would they have a chance at survival.

Phoenix frowned, making a split-second decision. She spun around and sprinted toward the parking lot.

“Stop her!”

The lead assassin barked an order, and a group of men splintered off, chasing after her at full speed.

Pierce's expression darkened. Catching sight of some loose gravel near his boots, he suddenly dropped low to the ground.

The evasive maneuver narrowly dodged an incoming arrow, and in the same fluid motion, his fingers closed around several jagged stones.

As he shot back up, he unleashed a burst of power from his wrist.

The stones tore through the air like bullets, striking the assassins chasing Phoenix with pinpoint accuracy.

Her eyes widened in shock, and she instinctively threw herself backward. The arrow practically grazed her nose before burying itself into the car window frame. A second later, a flurry of incoming projectiles cut off every possible escape route.

Phoenix took a deep breath, dodging to the side as she grabbed a handful of her long dress.

Her eyes flashed with deadly intent as she forcefully tore the cumbersome fabric and hurled it forward.

The swirling cloth momentarily obscured the assassins' vision, causing several arrows to fly wide.
