Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 321

Knock, knock!

Someone rapped on the door.

Warren Prescott frowned. "Come in!"

His secretary hurried into the office.

"Mr. Prescott, the Executive Vice President just suspended several of our ongoing projects. He's reallocating all our resources to push the Ignis Global and Sterling Group projects forward."

"What did you say?!" Warren flew into a rage. "Who gave him the authority to halt our operations and dump everything into Phoenix's projects?"

"Sir, Alistair authorized it."

Hearing his father's name, the color drained from Warren's face. The bitter resentment in his chest flared into a raging inferno. What are you playing at, old man? Are you trying to strip me of my power as CEO?

"Alistair's reasoning was that both of those accounts were secured through Phoenix's connections. To avoid any further complications or fallout, he agreed to expedite them."

Warren understood the underlying politics perfectly. Alistair's move essentially castrated his authority as CEO, effectively splitting the Prescott Group into two warring factions.

One faction belonged to him, while the other was helmed by Ethan and Caleb. With all other projects paralyzed and resources funneled into those two specific accounts, the company would suffer catastrophic losses if anything went wrong.

"Call an emergency board meeting immediately. I am going to overrule this resource allocation."

"Right away, sir!"

As the secretary rushed out, Phoebe Prescott looked at her father with deep concern. "Dad, Ethan and Caleb are clearly trying to rival us. Once those two projects mature, the partners won't cancel the contracts easily, even with Phoenix gone."

"And if they successfully close those deals, their standing in the company will skyrocket."

"I know that." Warren crushed his cigarette into the ashtray with a vicious twist. "That's exactly why I won't let them succeed."

"If the old man refuses to pick a side and only cares about the company's bottom line... then I'll just have to seize the power myself."

He paused, his eyes narrowing as he looked at his daughter. "Phoebe, go down and take over the Project Management Division. As long as you secure that position, you can hold them by the throat."

"Got it!"

Phoebe nodded sharply. She motioned for Cassandra Lucas and Lydia Langston to follow her as she marched down to the division floor.

Without Phoenix's intimidating presence, the Project Management Division had grown visibly lax.

Phoenix possessed a suffocating aura. Even when she wasn't speaking, just sitting in her office was enough to keep everyone on edge, terrified of stepping out of line.

Phoebe stormed onto the floor, exuding aggressive arrogance.

"Listen up, everyone!" Phoebe clapped her hands, drawing the attention of the entire staff.

"Starting today, I will be taking over the Project Management Division—"
