Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 68

Hearing this, the employees instinctively moved to clap, but the moment the name "Phoenix" registered, they froze, shock rippling across their faces.

"Manager Fletcher, did... did you misspoke? Isn't the heiress Ms. Phoebe Prescott?" someone blurted out.

"Yeah! Who is Phoenix? We've never even heard of her!"

"Manager Fletcher, are you... confused? Or is she a new hire?"

"Shut your mouths!!" Felix scowled, barking out the order with absolute authority. "I, Felix Fletcher, am the HR Manager of Prescott Group, and I stand by my words! I will repeat this one time: The only legitimate heiress of the Prescott family is Ms. Phoenix Prescott! The board has explicitly confirmed this!"

His tone was absolute, his sharp gaze sweeping over the dissenters. The heavy pressure he exuded instantly silenced them.

The next second, the meeting room door opened smoothly.

Phoenix walked in.

Every eye in the room immediately locked onto her.

The moment they saw her, the employees subconsciously held their breath.

It wasn't just her stunning beauty; it was the overwhelming, innate aura of absolute dominance that radiated from her bones. In the face of that silent but crushing pressure, all their doubts and whispers instantly evaporated.

"Good afternoon, everyone. I am Phoenix." She walked to the head of the table and stood there, a faint, unreadable smirk on her lips. Her eyes, cold as winter stars, swept across the room, sharp and intimidating. "Perhaps you've all been operating under a misconception regarding the identity of the 'Prescott heiress.' Let me clarify this right now: I, Phoenix Prescott, am the biological daughter of Warren and Vanessa Prescott."

Her voice was clear and composed, carrying the weight of an absolute decree.

"As for the woman you've known as Ms. Phoebe Prescott..." She paused, the temperature in her voice plummeting. "She is merely an adopted daughter taken in out of charity. Now that the rightful heir has returned, I suggest everyone in this room remembers this fact and avoids any future confusion."

At this, Phoenix's gaze turned glacial. An invisible, suffocating pressure seized the room, making the air feel solid. "Otherwise, I might get... very upset."

Those final words were delivered lightly, yet they slammed into everyone's chest with the force of a sledgehammer.

The staff exchanged terrified looks, cold sweat breaking out on their backs. Phoenix's aura was absolutely terrifying! Just in terms of the pure authority born of bloodline and competence, she eclipsed Phoebe a hundred times over. This was the true demeanor of a corporate heir!

"Furthermore..." Felix chimed in right on cue, his voice carrying the solemnity of a herald declaring a new ruler. "Following the highest executive orders, effective immediately, Ms. Phoenix Prescott will assume the role of Project Department Manager, taking full control of all department operations."

Boom!

Hope instantly ignited in Clarence's eyes.

Xenia was Julian's lover and incredibly close to Phoebe.

Judging by Phoebe's expression, Phoenix had clearly hijacked her contract, and Xenia was here to back her up!

"Who are you?" Phoenix turned around, her gaze scanning Xenia.

The woman was dressed in sharp business attire, her short hair pristine, and her minimalist earrings giving her a highly capable look.

"I am the Operations Director of Prescott Group," Xenia stated, tilting her chin up arrogantly. "You can call me Director Upton."

Phoenix crossed her arms and leaned against the conference table, a slight smirk playing on her lips. "Director Upton, I wasn't aware the Operations Department had jurisdiction over the Project Department."

"Hmph! I'll say it again. You are nothing but trash, and you are not worthy of the Project Manager position!" Xenia narrowed her eyes, her voice dripping with ice. "I don't care what dirty tricks you used to infiltrate this company. But as a ten-year veteran of Prescott Group, it is my duty to protect its interests."

"I will absolutely not allow anyone to abuse their power to frame their colleagues!"
