Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 89

Phoenix returned to her room and efficiently packed her clothes and daily necessities.

She brought no extra baggage, just a single, small carry-on suitcase.

If Pierce hadn't pressured her with their agreement, she genuinely wouldn't have wanted to leave the Prescott estate so soon. After all, the fun here was just getting started.

Once she finished packing, Phoenix didn't rush to leave. Instead, she opened her laptop.

Since it was still early, she booted up her design software, her fingers flying across the trackpad as she began conceptualizing the new jewelry collection for Meredith.

In mere moments, a few preliminary drafts took shape.

She expertly wove subtle modern deconstructionist elements into the designs, ensuring the jewelry retained a vintage charm while simultaneously exuding a striking, avant-garde feel.

Four years ago, she knew absolutely nothing about design.

But today, she was the internationally renowned, top-tier designer—Star.

No one could have ever guessed that this mysterious design prodigy had actually honed her craft inside the notorious Blackwood Penitentiary.

Blackwood Penitentiary was a cage for criminals, but it was also a concentration camp for top-tier talent.

To outsiders, it was a living hell. But to Phoenix, it was the crucible of her rebirth.

It was Yara who ignited the spark within her, teaching her the ruthless means to survive, and introducing her to legendary mentors who forged her into an indestructible blade.

Knock, knock!

The rapping at the door broke Phoenix's train of thought.

"Ms. Prescott, Madam has completed the transfer paperwork. She needs your signature to finalize it," Lawrence's steady voice announced from the hall.

Phoenix raised an eyebrow. "She moved fast."

She stood up and walked straight out of the room.

Not long after Phoenix left, a stealthy figure slipped over to the bedroom door—it was Phoebe.

She had come to fake an apology and act weak, hoping to placate Phoenix and stall for time until Sebastian returned.

"Phoenix... I'm here to apologize to you," Phoebe adjusted her expression and spoke softly. "I know I was wrong. I promise I will never provoke you again, please forgive me."

She waited for a long moment, but there was no response from inside.

"Phoenix?"

Phoebe tested the handle, and to her surprise, the door was slightly ajar. It pushed open easily.

Not here?

Phoebe hesitated for a second before a calculating glint flashed in her eyes. She stepped inside.

She wanted to see exactly what this room, which used to belong to her, had been turned into.

Sebastian: "Phoebe, where did you get these drafts?!"

Phoebe: "Sebastian, I knew you were stressing over your designs, so I just sketched a few things. I don't know if they'll give you any inspiration."

Sebastian: "You just sketched these?! Phoebe, you're a genius! These concepts are brilliant, absolutely incredible! With these preliminary drafts, I have a 100% guarantee of securing the partnership with MK Global. I don't even need three days; I'll be flying back the day after tomorrow!"

Phoebe: "Sebastian, as long as I can help you, I'm happy."

Putting her phone away, Phoebe heard footsteps approaching from outside.

Feeling guilty, she tiptoed out of the room. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, she bumped right into Phoenix, who was returning.

"Phoenix..."

"Phoebe, it seems you aren't just wicked, your memory is terrible too." Phoenix narrowed her eyes, a chilling light flashing in her gaze. "I told you, I don't have a sister. If I hear you call me that again, I won't mind slapping you until you remember."

Phoebe shuddered. She lowered her eyes, hiding the venom in them. "Phoenix, I'm sorry. I'll remember."

Just as she finished speaking, she caught sight of Vanessa walking toward the stairs out of the corner of her eye.

Phoebe's eyes hardened. She reached out, pretending to grab Phoenix's sleeve.

Phoenix's reflexes were lightning fast, and she smoothly dodged to the side.

Phoebe gritted her teeth and dramatically threw her body backward, tumbling down from the second floor like a kite with a snapped string!
