“Doesn’t matter. We still have two other entrances, don’t we?” Autumn said. “Let’s get started.””

Beckett and several others hauled over the weapons, and everyone quietly began choosing their gear.

Since they were entering a tomb, they couldn’t carry anything too heavy or powerful.

Autumn took the map, studied it carefully, and committed the layout to memory.

Then she slapped it back against Matthew’s face and said coldly, ‘Keep looking at me like that, and I’ll gouge your eyes out.”

The shove sent Matthew stumbling backward, but he wasn’t upset in the slightest. He grinned and said, “You can take anything you vant from me, Asher. I have a heart too. Would you like that?”

Autumn couldn’t take it anymore and kicked Matthew to the ground. “Get lost, you damn pretty boy!”

Matthew’s bodyguards immediately surrounded her, looking ready to attack.

Beckett’s men reacted without hesitation, drawing their weapons and aiming them at Matthew’s guards.

The tension between the two sides instantly spiked.

Matthew scrambled to his feet, pushed down the barrels of his bodyguards’ guns, and said with a smile, “It’s a misunderstanding. Asher was only joking with me.”

Autumn said impatiently, “Matthew, take your people through Entrance C. Keith already chose Entrance A, so the two of you ca meet up inside the tomb.”

“What about you?” Matthew asked.

“We’ll take Entrance B. Whether we run into each other down there will depend on our luck.” Autumn fastened her collar and called out, “Move out!”

The moment she finished speaking, Autumn led her team swiftly toward Entrance B.

Matthew stood there watching in fascination until she disappeared from sight. Only then did he turn around and order, “You heard her. Asher told us to take Entrance & Move out!’m going to prove my sincerity to her!”

With Leonel’s modern equipment, detailed mapping data, and echo detection, opening a passage into the tomb wasn’t particularly difficult.

They placed carefully measured explosives at several selected points.

Without damaging the tomb’s structure, they blasted open a passage roughly three feet high.

‘I’ll test the air first.” The expert immediately launched a palm-sized drone into the tunnel, using it to survey the terrain below while collecting and analyzing air samples in real time.

‘Oxygen levels… carbon monoxide… carbon dioxide…” The expert read off the results as he operated the drone. “I recommend waiting ten minutes before going down.”

Autumn nodded. “There’s no rush. Getting inside first doesn’t mean they’ll reach the treasure first.”

Beckett agreed. “Right. We don’t need to rush. Moving that much gold will take time anyway, so we’ll have plenty of chances.”

Leonel kept his eyes fixed on the screen, then suddenly stood up. “Look. What’s that?”

Autumn and Beckett immediately leaned closer, joining Leonel as they watched the footage transmitted by the drone.

Something pale flashed across the screen.

Just as they tried to get a better look, the image blurred, and the drone lost its connection.

Clearly, something alive inside the tomb had spotted the drone and knocked it down.

“Whatever it is, we’ll have to go down and see for ourselves,” Autumn said. “Leonel, stay up here and support us Beckett and I will go in with the others.”
