Petty Revenge-2

By the end of the story, Azriel was in awe and deep in thought. He looked at the calm vampiress before him with a different expression. Now, everything makes sense.
“I understand,” he mind-linked Lora, his tone somber. “But what do we do now?”
“We support them, Azriel. Both of them. Tim needs to understand the full story, and Dana needs to fee
safe and escape from that mad-man’s clutches,” Lora replied.
Azriel nodded, agreeing with his mate. He glanced at Dana, who sat quietly, staring out the
window, lost in her own thoughts.
As the convoy moved forward, Tim stood in silence and brooding over recent events. The pain
inside his chest was unbearable, but Azriel’s words echoed in his head: facing the situation was
the only way forward. He knew he needed to confront Dana eventually, but for now, he just wanted to escape the turmoil in his heart. He felt betrayal, anguish and a petty sense of revenge. He knew that he was wrong, but he wanted her to feel the same level of pain that he felt at the moment.
Tim felt vengeful and petty, his heart aching with a desire for Dana to feel the same level of pain he did. His eyes crossed with one of the female warriors from the Praetorian guard sent by Markus. She smiled at him suggestively, and he smiled back. The exchange felt like an invitation, and she began to flirt with him. Keeping up appearances, Tim played along, despite feeling revolted by his
actions.
His wolf, agitated and confused, growled within him. “What the hell are you doing? We have a mate.”
Tim replied, enraged, “Do you see any marks on our necks? She made her choice, and now we will make ours. If this is how she wants to play, so be it. She has someone, and from her reaction, she’s choosing the other. So why should we care?”
Their thoughts were interrupted by the arrival at their target: a new pack. After the healing was completed, they attended the pack’s celebratory BBQ and bonfire. Tim could feel Dana’s eyes on him as she sat next to Lora. Taking another glass of whiskey, he felt slightly tipsy. Usually, shifters don’t get drunk easily, but this drink was laced with potent herbs. Just then, he felt a female hand on his chest. Turning his head, he came face to face with Ramo, the warrior from the convoy that
he flirted with earlier.
“Hello, handsome. Care for some company?” she greeted him.
Tim could feel Dana’s possessiveness through the bond and smiled slyly at Ramo. “Of course.” Ramo sat next to him, and they began flirting, becoming more and more intoxicated. At a certain point, Azriel tried to pull him aside.

“Tim, you need to calm down. You’re going to regret this,” Azriel warned, his voice firm.
Tim pushed him away. “You’re not my father, Azriel. I can do what I want.”
Azriel’s eyes flashed with concern. “You’ll regret this, Tim. Mark my words.”
Tim’s eyes burned with venom. “The only thing I regret is marking that bloodsucker.”
Through the bond, he could feel Dana’s pain, realizing she had heard him. But all he wanted now was payback, for them to burn together. He just didn’t care anymore about anything. He turned to Ramo and asked, “Do you want to go somewhere more private?”
Ramo smiled seductively. “Of course.”
As they walked away from the bonfire, Dana’s eyes followed them, filled with a mixture of sorrow, pain and anger, while Lora squeezed her hand in silent support.
Tim’s heart pounded with a mix of emotions: vengeance, regret, and a hollow sense of victory. He knew deep down that this wouldn’t bring him peace and would end up hurting both of them, but in his intoxicated state, he didn’t care. All he wanted was to hurt her as much as he was hurting.
The night air was cool as they found a secluded spot. Tim leaned against a tree, trying to steady his racing thoughts. Ramo pressed against him, her hands roaming his chest. He kissed her, but his mind was elsewhere, haunted by Dana’s face, her tears, and the mark on her neck.
“Tim,” Ramo whispered, pulling him back for a moment. “Are you okay, handsome?”
He nodded, forcing a smile. “Yeah, just… let’s do this,” as he grabbed her head and kissed her with
passion.
