Elora’s seamless integration into the hospital’s roster was nothing short of remarkable. With each passing day, she proved herself to be a dependable member of the medical team, earning the trust and respect of her colleagues. Despite her remarkable abilities, she kept her gift hidden, especially as she was working in a human hospital.
As time went on, Elora discovered that her abilities extended beyond mere physical healing. With a gentle touch and closed eyes, she could sense the underlying diseases afflicting her patients, pinpointing the affected areas with uncanny accuracy. This newfound skill both fascinated and unnerved her, serving as a constant reminder of the extraordinary nature of her abilities. She was still in awe sometimes, wondering why the Goddess gifted her this ability.
Despite her curiosity and temptation to delve deeper into the realm of healing, Mary cautioned her against it. Without access to the royal archives or knowledge of the potential side effects of her ability, they remained in the dark about the true extent of her powers. As much as Elora longed to explore the full extent of her abilities, she understood the wisdom in Mary’s words, choosing to tread carefully. The last thing that she wanted to do was to hurt herself or reveal herself in front of
humans.
At home, Elora faced a different set of challenges as she struggled with raising a son who seemed to be growing at an extraordinary rate. From the tender age of three, Asher exhibited traits that set him apart from his peers. His strength, agility, and intellect far surpassed those of other children his age, leaving Elora and Mary astounded by his abilities.
As Asher continued to grow, it became evident that he possessed a remarkable combination of physical prowess and mental acuity. Despite his young age, he towered over his classmates, his imposing stature a testament to his alpha heritage. While the teachers marveled at his advanced development and suggested that he might be gifted, Elora knew the truth: her son was destined to inherit the mantle of alpha, and with it, a wealth of pent-up energy and potential.
With each passing day, Elora found herself struggling to keep up with Asher’s boundless energy and insatiable curiosity. While she lacked his stamina and vitality, she was determined to provide him with the love, support, and guidance he needed to thrive. But it was not always easy.
As they sat on a blanket in the garden on one of the off days, watching Asher’s energetic antics with the ball, Mary couldn’t help but cast a fond yet concerned glance at the boy. “You know, Lora,” she began, her voice soft with affection, “Asher has truly hit the genetic jackpot. With his looks and brains, he’s bound to turn heads wherever he goes.”
Elora smiled proudly, her gaze following her son’s movements. “He’s got quite the presence, doesn’t he?” she replied, a hint of worry creeping into her voice. He was tall, with caramel skin and

dark hair. The only thing that he inherited from her were the green eyes and the dimples from both
cheeks.
“But sometimes I wonder if it’s a double-edged sword. His differences might make things harder
for him in the long run.” Elora added in worry.
Mary nodded sympathetically, understanding the weight of Elora’s concerns. “It’s true. As he grows, he’ll only stand out more,” she agreed. “And with his unique traits, there’s a risk of drawing.
unwanted attention.”
“Yeah,” Elora sighed, her gaze fixed on Asher as he darted across the garden. “I worry about when he gets older. We might have to consider homeschooling him to keep him safe.”
Mary placed a comforting hand on Elora’s shoulder. “We’ll figure it out together, but this might pose a big challenge. Don’t forget that the werewolves are social beings, and will suffer being away from their peers.”
“And what is the alternative, Mary? To be discovered by humans and taken to a scientific lab for analysis?” Elora snapped in panic.
Mary took a long breath, “Did you consider trying to join a pack? A smaller one? In this way, you could give him that pack connection that he will need. To be surrounded by his kind.”
