Asher’s Orders-1
After the intense confrontation with Alena, the air in the coven was thick with exhaustion. The events of the past hours weighed heavily on everyone. Layzal, sensing the collective fatigue, gathered the group in a dimly lit, ornate chamber. The room was adorned with ancient tapestries, each depicting a different era of vampire history. It was a place meant for quiet reflection, but tonight it served as a strategy room for the war that lay ahead.
Layzal, his usually stoic face showing rare signs of strain, addressed the group. The progress we’ve made today is significant,” he began, his voice echoing slightly in the grand chamber. “We’ve uncovered truths that will change the course of this conflict. The lycans… damn them, they were hiding in plain sight all along. Not in some remote mountains in Canada, as we suspected and we were mislead, but among us, disguised as military contractors. Their cover was perfect, allowing them to train, gather weapons, and move unnoticed by humans and supernaturals alike.”
Markus nodded, the gravity of the situation settling over him like a heavy cloak. “Their strategy was brilliant,” he admitted, though his tone was laced with contempt. “Using the guise of military contractors made them seem less suspicious, even to us. But now that we know their true nature, we have solid leads to follow. Layzal, if you could mobilize your resources as well to investigate every military contractor, every training facility that could be a front for the lycans. And above all, we will need to find the Dispell Poems. We can’t afford to let those fall into the wrong hands or let the bloodline to be completely eradicated.”
Layzal’s eyes gleamed with determination. “Consider it done,” he replied, his voice a low growl. “My networks will begin the investigation immediately. We’ll root them out, one by one. And in the meantime, we’ll keep our borders secure. The infections, the attacks, they’re all part of a larger plan. But now we’re prepared. At least for the moment we succeed to contain the person spreading the infection, but we still need to be cautious, in case they are sending someone else.”
Markus nodded again, his mind already moving to the next steps. “I’ll return to the royal palace. There’s much to coordinate, our defenses need to be strengthened, our alliances reinforced. This
is far from over.”
Azriel and Lora, standing close together, exchanged a glance. The weariness of the past few days was visible in their eyes, but there was also a quiet resolve. Lora spoke first, her voice soft but firm. “It’s time for us to return to our pack, Markus. We’ve been away from our son, from our duties, for too long. Asher needs us, and our pack needs its Alpha and Luna.”
Markus turned to them, his expression one of deep gratitude. “What you’ve done, the sacrifices you’ve made… they won’t be forgotten. You’ve gone above and beyond, not just for your pack, but for all of us. I can’t thank you enough.”

Layzal stepped forward, his presence commanding but sincere. “Markus is right. You’ve proven yourselves to be invaluable allies. You’ll always have a place here, with us. Whatever you need, whenever you need it, my resources are at your disposal.”
Azriel nodded, his hand gently resting on Lora’s shoulder. “Thank you, both of you. We’ll continue to do what we can, from our side. Our pack is strong, and we’ll be ready for whatever comes next But for now, we need to regroup, to take care of our own.”
With final words of farewell, Markus, Azriel, and Lora left the chamber, each heading in different directions but united in their purpose. The battles ahead were sure to be fierce, and the stakes had never been higher. But now they had clarity, direction, and allies they could trust.
As the helicopter touched down on Stormheart Pack territory, the familiar landscape brought, a sense of peace and homecoming to both Lora and Azriel. After the exhausting trials they’d endured, the sight of their land was a balm to their souls. The helicopter’s rotors slowed to a stop, and the doors swung open to reveal the lush greenery of their home. The crisp, cool air of the mountains filled their lungs as they stepped out onto the firm ground.
