Achers Orders 2

Asher’s Orders-2

Waiting for them were James, Sky, and Tim, their closest and most trusted allies. The three men stood with wide smiles, their relief at seeing their Alpha and Luna return obvious in their warm expressions.

“Welcome back,” James said, stepping forward to embrace Azriel in a firm, brotherly hug. Sky and Tim followed suit, each taking turns to greet their leaders. The exchange was filled with genuine warmth, their bond deepened by years of shared battles and victories.

As they stood talking, catching up on the latest happenings in the pack, a sudden, high-pitched scream cut through the air. All heads turned sharply, eyes scanning for the source of the sound. It wasn’t long before they spotted a small figure racing toward them with wild abandon, a streak of dark hair and fast moving limbs.

“Mommy! Daddy!” Asher’s voice rang out, filled with a mix of joy and relief. Tears streamed down

his face, his little legs pumping furiously as he closed the distance between them. Lora’s heart

clenched at the sight, her own eyes misting over as she knelt down just in time to catch her son in

a tight embrace. Azriel, though typically stoic, felt a lump form in his throat, his emotions welling

up as he watched his son cling to Lora, his small body trembling with the force of his feelings.

Asher buried his face in Lora’s neck, his tiny fists clutching her as if afraid she might disappear

again. “You came back, I missed you so much!” he whispered, his voice muffled.

“We’re here, baby, Lora murmured, her voice choked with emotion. She kissed the top of his head,

her tears mingling with his.

Azriel joined them, wrapping his strong arms around both Lora and Asher, forming a protective cocoon. Despite his usual composure, seeing Asher’s tearful joy filled him with a fierce, overwhelming love. Every time he looked at his son, he marveled at the gift the Moon Goddess had given him, a son so pure and strong, a symbol of all that was good in his life.

After several long moments, they finally pulled apart, though Asher kept a tight hold on his

mother’s hand.

“Let’s go home and let daddy catch-up on his duties, Lora told him as she took his hand.

His tear-streaked face broke into a wide grin as he turned to wave at James, who stood nearby

with an amused smile.

“I won’t be late!” Asher called out to James, clearly referring to some shared understanding

between them, before following his mother.

Azriel, ever observant, caught the familiarity in their interaction and turned a curious gaze to

James, a slight furrow appearing on his brow. “What’s the story here?” he asked, his voice tinged with both curiosity and the faintest hint of concern.

James scratched the back of his head, a sheepish smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Sky and Tim couldn’t suppress their laughter, causing Azriel’s curiosity to deepen. “Please promise me you won’t be mad,” James began, his tone cautious.

Azriel crossed his arms over his chest, his eyebrow arching. “Hmm… That makes me even more

curious. Spit it out.”

James took a deep breath, clearly preparing himself. “Well, while you and Lora were away, Ashe started shadowing us. At first, we thought it was just curiosity, so we didn’t pay much attention. But then… we caught him hiding behind a bush near the training grounds, spying on us, while poof Mary was searching everywhere for him, desperate to find him.”

Azriel’s eyes widened in surprise. “What? Why was he there?”

James hesitated, then continued, “It seems he overheard us talking about the incoming threat. He decided he needed to learn how to fight… to protect the pack. We took him back to Mary, explaining that he’s too young for such things. But the very next day, he did the same thing. When we confronted him, he told us – no, he commanded us – that as the future Alpha, it’s his

responsibility to protect everyone.”

Azriel froze, a mix of shock and admiration flashing across his features. Tim, unable to resist, added with a chuckle, “Actually, Azriel, he didn’t just tell us. He asserted his dominance over us, like a true Alpha. We didn’t know what to do, so to avoid any more hide-and-seek situations that could turn riskier, to have him under our eyes we let him join the junior warriors for basic training. Just the basic moves, I swear, but you should see him. The kid is a natural warrior.”

James quickly interjected, his tone apologetic. “We didn’t want to distract you or Lora, and we really didn’t know how else to handle him. We promise he wasn’t hurt.”

Azriel stood there, his mind reeling. He didn’t know whether to laugh at the situation or be upset

that his son had been so headstrong. But as the reality of what James had said sank in, pride

swelled in his chest. His son, so young yet already showing the instincts and strength of a true

Alpha. It was both surprising and deeply satisfying.

Finally, Azriel shook his head, a small smile breaking through his stoic exterior. “He’ll be a true

Alpha, won’t he?”

James, Sky, and Tim all nodded in agreement, their faces reflecting the same pride that filled

Azriel’s heart. “Even more terrific than you,” Sky said with a grin.

Azriel let out a rare laugh, “Well, we’ll see about that. But for now, let’s get to my office. There’s
