Curiosity piqued, Elora followed him down a quiet corridor to a reserved room. She noticed the
somber expression on Doctor Luigi’s face as they approached.
“What’s in here?” she asked, sensing something unusual.
Doctor Luigi sighed deeply, his expression grim. “We have a warrior in there. He’s suffering from a
disease we can’t identify. It’s been a mystery to us, and his condition worsens every day.”
Elora frowned, her medical instincts kicking in. “Tell me more.”
As they entered the room, her heart squeezed in pain at the sight before her. A young warrior lay
on the bed, writhing in agony. His once muscular body was now emaciated, and his skin was
marred by black, inflamed veins. He convulsed periodically; his face contorted in pain.
“We’ve run every test we can think of,” Doctor Luigi explained. “But we can’t pinpoint the cause.
Every day, he becomes weaker. We’re running out of options.”
Elora approached the bed, her healer’s heart aching for the young warrior. She gently placed a
hand on his forehead, feeling the unnatural heat radiating from his body. “Has he responded to any
treatment?”
Doctor Luigi shook his head. “Nothing we’ve tried has had any effect.”
Elora’s mind raced with possibilities. Her training had never encountered anything like this, but she
wasn’t about to give up. “Do you have his medical records? I want to review everything.”
Doctor Luigi nodded, handing her a tablet with the warrior’s files. “Here. I’ve also included notes
from our previous treatments and observations.”
As Elora began to read through the records, she felt a strange sensation in her chest. It was as if
something deep within her was stirring, urging her to dig deeper. She couldn’t explain it, but she
knew she had to find a way to help this warrior.
Elora turned to Doctor Luigi, her resolve firming as she decided to take a leap of faith. “Doctor Luigi, I need you to close the door and ensure our full privacy,” she requested, her voice steady but intense.
Doctor Luigi looked at her, a mixture of curiosity and concern in his eyes, but he nodded. “Of course, Luna.” He moved to close the door, locking it to ensure they wouldn’t be disturbed.
Elora took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to do. “I need you to swear that you will not tell anyone about what you are about to see,” she said, her eyes locking onto his with a serious intensity.

Doctor Luigi hesitated only for a moment before nodding. “I swear, Luna. I won’t tell a soul.”
With that assurance, Elora returned to the warrior’s bedside. She gently pushed aside his hospital gown, exposing his chest. Her palm hovered above his skin, and she took a long, steadying breath before pressing it down. She closed her eyes, concentrating deeply.
For a few tense moments, the room was filled with the sound of the young warrior’s labored breathing and the faint hum of the hospital machines. Then, Elora’s body seemed to shudder, and
she staggered back, tears welling up in her eyes.
Doctor Luigi, alarmed, stepped forward. “Luna, what is happening?”
Elora’s voice trembled as she replied, “This is black magic, Doctor Luigi. I can feel it. The young warrior doesn’t have much time left, days at most. And he is in so much pain!”
Doctor Luigi’s face paled. “How do you know that?”
Elora took another deep breath, her eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination. “I have a gift,” she explained. “I can sense and diagnose illnesses and ailments in a way that others can’t.”
Doctor Luigi nodded slowly as he looked at her in awe, absorbing the weight of her words. “If this is the case, we need to inform Alpha Azriel immediately.”
Together, they made their way out of the room, their expressions grim and determined. The walk to Azriel’s office was filled with a heavy silence, each step echoing with the urgency of their mission. When they arrived, Doctor Luigi knocked on the door, and Azriel’s voice called out for
them to enter.
Azriel looked up from his desk, his expression shifting from curiosity to concern as he saw the
serious looks on their faces. “What’s going on?” he asked, standing up.
Elora stepped forward, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. “Azriel, we need to talk. It’s about a young warrior in the hospital. There’s something you need to know.”
Azriel’s eyes narrowed with worry as he gestured for them to sit. “Tell me everything,” he
commanded, his alpha authority clear in his tone.
Elora took a deep breath and began to recount what she had discovered, knowing that the next
steps they took would be crucial for the warrior and possibly for the entire pack.
Once she finished, Azriel replied in a tense voice, “We need to check with King Markus and consult with the royal healers. Black Magic is not a joke. Let me make the call.”
