The next day, Elora woke up in Azriel’s arms, the morning light casting a gentle glow over their bedroom. She gazed at him, her heart swelling with love and gratitude. “I am so blessed to have you in my life,” she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. “I never believed I would ever experience this level of happiness.”

Azriel smiled, his eyes softening as he kissed her tenderly. “I’m the lucky one,” he replied, his voice/ husky with affection. “Every day with you feels like a gift.”

They spent a peaceful morning together, enjoying breakfast with Asher. The sound of their son’s laughter filled the house, adding to the sense of contentment that surrounded them. After sending Asher off to school, Azriel turned to Elora, his expression thoughtful.

“What are your plans for today?” he asked.

Elora smiled. “I’ll be at the clinic. There are many things I need to learn from Doctor Luigi.”

Azriel nodded but then reminded her, “Please don’t push it too hard. And don’t forget about the healing risks. We need to be together in order to avoid any backlash. So please, don’t do anything reckless. You’ll also need to meet with the head of the omegas for the Luna ceremony preparations. There are a few decisions that need your input.”

She agreed, understanding the importance of the upcoming ceremony. As they talked, a shadow crossed Azriel’s face. “I know it’s difficult for you to arrange this alone,” he said softly. “I would have loved for my mother to be alive and help you with this.”

Elora reached out, squeezing his hand gently. “I would have loved that very much, but this is our destiny. We’ll manage,” she assured him. “Together, we can handle anything.”

After a moment of silence, Elora asked, “I wanted to ask you something for a few days now. Where is your sister? You mentioned that you succeeded in saving her, but you haven’t talked about her

since.”

Azriel’s expression turned pained. “Kaia…she refuses to interact with anyone. She sees herself as

damaged goods because of the wounds she suffered. The rogues… r***d her before disfiguring

her. Plus, her mate’s rejection made it worse as we lost all the progress we made during all those years. Despite all the therapy, doctors, healers, priests, and witches… I’ve tried everything, but she’s in deep depression. She has periods where she refuses to interact with anyone, and these can last

for weeks. Now she is in one of these episodes, locked in her villa. When she is better, she visits

her garden, but these days it has become more and more rare. She is like an empty shell and is

killing me to see her like this. It hurst so much, Lora.”

Elora nodded, her heart aching for him and his sister. “That must be so painful for you.”

Azriel sighed, his eyes reflecting a deep sadness. “It is. I feel helpless. I can’t force her to get better. I tried in the past, and it didn’t end well.”

Elora moved closer, wrapping her arms around him. “You’re doing everything you can. Sometimes, all we can do is be there for them and hope they find their way back.”

Azriel nodded, drawing strength from her support. “Thank you, Elora. Your compassion means the world to me. I told her through the locked doors that I had found you and Asher, but she did not reply to me. I really don’t know what to do anymore.”

They sat in silence for a moment, drawing comfort from each other’s presence. Then, Elora took a

deep breath and said, “I would like very much to meet her. I don’t believe that a physical

appearance defines anyone’s value. I will give her time and let’s focus on the Luna ceremony. It’s a

new beginning, and I want to make it special for our pack. But, with time, I would like to try to help her, if she agrees. Maybe my powers could work on her.”

Azriel smiled, a flicker of hope returning to his eyes. “You’re right. It’s a new beginning. Let’s make

it a celebration to remember. Regarding Kaia, my fear is that even if we succeed in healing her physical wounds, the emotional ones are there. The trauma of seeing our parents killed in front of her, the r**e, the rejection, the stigma. It broke her spirit. Even her wolf has been hidden for years

now after the rejection.”
