Helping Hand-2
“I just received an urgent call from the Full Moon pack,” he began, his voice heavy with concern. “They are experiencing an outbreak with symptoms strikingly similar to what we just witnessed in this young warrior.”
A collective gasp filled the room. Elora felt a chill run down her spine. The implications of this were, dire.
Chief Healer Anto furrowed his brows. “How many are affected?”
“Dozens,” Markus replied. “They reported cases of extreme weakness, convulsions, and the telltale black veins. It’s spreading rapidly, and they have no idea how to contain it.”
Azriel’s jaw tightened, his protective instincts flaring. “This could be catastrophic if it spread to other packs.”
Elora’s heart ached for the afflicted wolves. “We need to help them,” she said, determination in her voice. “We can’t let this dark magic take more lives.”
Markus nodded. “I agree. That’s why I called you here. Elora, your healing gift might be our only hope. We need to act swiftly and decisively.”
Chief Healer Anto looked at Elora with newfound respect. “Luna Lora, your ability to diagnose and heal the dark magic is unprecedented. But we need to understand the source of this outbreak to
prevent it from spreading further.”
Elora nodded. “I will do whatever it takes to help. But I need Azriel by my side. The process is draining, and I need his strength to support me.”
Azriel squeezed her hand, his eyes filled with pride and love. “We’ll face this together. But I need everyone to understand that Lora’s well-being is my main priority. I will not accept to put her at
risk.”
Markus paced the room, deep in thought. “We’ll need to set up a quarantine area for the infected and establish a secure perimeter to prevent further spread. The last thing we need is an outbreak.”
The journey to the Full Moon pack was tense and silent. As the helicopter descended, the stark reality of the situation became clear. The once-thriving pack was now a scene of despair and desperation. Wolves, both young and old, lay emaciated and feral within the pack clinic’s confines, their bodies twisted in agony as black veins marred their once-strong forms.
Elora’s heart ached at the sight. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the monumental task. ahead. “We need to secure the first patient,” she ordered, her voice steady despite the turmoil

inside her.
The team moved swiftly, securing a young female werewolf who was barely conscious, her body ravaged by the dark magic. Elora approached her, Azriel by her side, his presence a pillar of strength.
Hours passed as Elora channeled her healing abilities into the patient. Azriel lent his support, their bond creating a powerful conduit for her gift. The dark veins slowly receded, leaving behind exhausted but relieved flesh. When it was over, Elora collapsed into Azriel’s arms, her energy completely spent. Even Azriel showed signs of weariness.
The entire Full Moon pack watched in awe and gratitude. As Elora and Azriel rose, the pack members bowed deeply, tears of relief streaming down their faces.
“Thank you, Alpha Azriel” their Alpha said, his voice choked with emotion. “You’ve given us hope. We will be forever indebted to you and your blessed Luna!”
Azriel, holding Elora close, shook his head. “We’re glad we could help,” he replied, his voice steady but soft. “But we need to get home to rest.”
The Alpha nodded, understanding their need for recuperation. “Please, stay the night. We can’t thank you enough.”
But Azriel was resolute. He gently lifted Elora into his arms, her exhaustion evident as she leaned
against him. “We’re going home,” he said, his voice filled with tender authority. He kissed her forehead softly, a gesture of both love and reassurance.
The pack members watched in silence as Azriel carried Elora to the waiting helicopter.
As the helicopter lifted off, Elora nestled closer to Azriel, her heart filled with a deep sense of
fulfilment despite her exhaustion. She had done something incredible today, and with Azriel by her
side, she knew they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Back at Stormheart, as they finally landed and made their way home, Azriel held her close, his heart
swelling with pride and love for his Luna.
“Thank you, Moon Goddess,” he whispered, full of reverence as he looked at the sky covered with
stars.
