Chapter 305
know that you are nothing and you’ll always be nothing,” he hissed, then swung at me.
I wrapped my hands around my middle just as I felt the sting of his palm across my cheek. I immediately felt it swelling, and the taste of blood filled my mouth.
“Where’s the heirloom your mother left you?”
His question stunned me, and I felt my entire body freeze.
“What?”
“Don’t play stupid,” he barked, his other hand coming around and slapping me on the other cheek.
The sound came before the pain. I kept my arms wrapped around myself, my body trembling. If it weren’t for these silver chains and the wolfsbane coursing through my system, I would have these guys dropped within
minutes.
But now, I could barely lift my head.
“Where is the heirloom?” He repeated, his hand wrapping around my throat, cutting off my air supply.
I gritted my teeth as I stared into his eyes.
“I will never tell you,” I croaked.
His eyes darkened as his grip tightened.
“Nobody is here to save you, little wolf. Nobody has any idea you are here. The King isn’t even looking for you. Why should he? You aren’t his problem anymore. He’s preparing to marry Sophia, while you are here with us. If I kill you right now, nobody would even notice.”
I felt my vision blurring as I struggled to draw a breath.
“Kill me…” I started, my voice barely above a whisper. “And you’ll never find it.”
This only made his face go red with anger.
“Enough,” a familiar voice said from nearby, just as my vision was turning black.
The gamma released me almost immediately, and I fell back to the ground, coughing and gasping for air.
“She was just about to break,” the gamma muttered.
“You were about to kill her. We don’t want her dead yet. Not until she sees me marrying the King. After that, you can do whatever you want with her.”
Sophia’s heels clicked softly against the stone and dirt floor as she approached, each measured step echoing through the damp space.
Her blonde hair had been carefully styled, her ivory dress free of a single wrinkle. Diamond earrings sparkled beneath the lantern light, and the smile gracing her lips was the same sweet smile she wore in front of the Kingdom.
“Leave us,” she said, waving off the gammas.
They listened to her as if she owned them.

“They really did a number on you,” Sophia commented, looking at my swollen face. “Those are certainly going to
Rise in the morning. Too bad… purple was never your color.”
My body trembled with pent-up rage.
“What do you want, Sophia?” I asked, iny eyes never left hers.
Her fake smile dropped as she stepped closer to me.
“What do I want?” She repeated my question like she couldn’t believe I just asked that. “What I want is for my fiancé to stop looking at you with those stupid puppy-dog eyes. What I want is for him to stop going to you every time you shed a single tear. But what I really want is for him to stop looking at me and wishing I was you.”
My heart stopped.
“That isn’t my fault,” I tell her. “I haven’t done anything to earn his attention.”
“You existing earns his attention!” She spat. “And I am sick of competing with you. So now, I’m going to make you watch me take everything from you… and then I’m going to let these gammas kill you.”
She smirked as she turned to leave.
