At first, Ophelia was completely caught off guard, shocked by Dominik’s possessiveness and his words. But her surprise quickly gave way to fury as her eyes transformed into their golden reptilian form, flashing with pure

rage.

“I guess I’ll just have to take it myself,” she hissed, landing a swift punch to Dominik’s jaw that sent his head snapping back. Not giving him time to recover, she struck again, this time targeting his throat.

“Ah..” Dominik stumbled backward, coughing up blood.

Ophelia stared on the stone clutched in her hand, a triumphant smile spread across her face. Without a glance at Dominik, she ran out of the storage tower, back into the pouring rain.

As she emerged, she spotted Esmeralda and Sasha hurrying toward her, their faces etched with worry.

“Did you get it?” Esmeralda asked, her eyes scanning Ophelia’s hands.

“Yes.” Ophelia nodded, handing her the stone.

“Thank you.” Esmeralda’s face lit up with a grateful smile.

“You shouldn’t have left like that.” Sasha sighed, her expression tinged with

concern.

Ophelia looked at Sasha, forcing a weak smile. “I know… I’m sorry.”

Sasha nodded slowly, her eyes welling up with tears. “It’s okay, I’m just glad you’re fine.”

Ophelia’s smile brightened, and she turned to walk away. “Let’s go back

now.”

As she walked, she closed her eyes, letting the rain wash over her skin. “I need to be with him.”

Tears poured down Sasha’s eyes as she stared at Ophelia’s back. “Yes… You have to,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Then, without warning, she reached out and pressed her hand against Ophelia’s back. A dark emerald glow burst forth, blasting into Ophelia’s body and making her jolt violently.

“I’m.. I’m so sorry,” Sasha whispered, her voice frembling as a sob escaped her throat. “But I promised him I’d keep you safe.”

Ophelia’s eyes widened in panic. “N… No…” she whispered, but it was too late. The darkness closed in, and she felt her strength fade away. Her eyelids drooped, and she surrendered to the darkness.

Sasha quickly wrapped her arms around Ophelia, cradling her comfortably.

Esmeralda, thrown off the loop from what had just happened, turned to Sasha with a mix of shock and accusation. “Why didn’t you warn me you were going to do this?”

Sasha forced a weak smile. “I thought you wouldn’t agree,” she admitted. “I have to get her away from here until the whole day is over.”

“So, all that talk about a perfect plan was just a distraction, a ruse to keep Ophelia in the dark,” Esmeralda swallowed hard, her eyes welling up with tears. “You wanted me to find the moonstone so I would reclaim it.”

Sasha looked away, running her fingers through her wet hair. “The stone isn’t enough to stabilize the moon. My brother, Vladimir, is much stronger.”

Esmeralda bit down on her lower lip, sniffling. “Nikolai is going to turn completely feral, isn’t he?”

Sasha forced a weak smile, shaking her head slowly. “I don’t know, but we need to get Ophelia somewhere safe.”

Esmeralda’s expression turned serious. “I’ll take her to Leimpia, my home.”

Sasha’s eyes widened in concern. “Are you sure you want to return this way?”

Esmeralda nodded, confidence etched on her face. “I have the moonstone. I have every right to return.”

Sasha couldn’t help but smile at Esmeralda’s determination. “My spell will keep her asleep for days. You should stay there too. I’ll do my best to send others to join you.”

Esmeralda’s expression turned worried. “What about you? Nikolai told you to keep everyone safe. That includes you too.”

Sasha shook her head. “I don’t know what the fate of Celestia holds. I want

to stay and try to help Nikolai.”

Tears streamed down Esmeralda’s face as her wings burst forth from her back. “Ple..please don’t die,” she begged, her voice trembling. “And tell Rhaziel that I’m fine.”

Sasha nodded, watching as Esmeralda took to the dark, rainy sky. The dark fairy’s departure left behind a trail of white and black glow, fading into the distance.

“Take care of yourself.” She let out a deep sigh, and an emerald glow enveloped her body. In an instant, she vanished from sight.

Meanwhile, Dominik emerged from the storage tower, his face twisted in a deep frown as he rubbed his neck tensely. His gaze drifted upward, and a mischievous grin spread across his face. With a loud angry roar, he shifted into his dragon form and took to the sky, discreetly following Esmeralda.

Within the imperial castle, a somber gathering took place in the main sitting chamber. Viktor, Valerian, Skylar, Danil, and Rhaziel stood vigil around Nikolai’s unconscious form

Skylar, enveloped in a soft blue glow, pressed two fingers against Nikolai’s forehead, her voice barely above a whisper as she muttered a spell.

“It’s not going to work,” Rhaziel growled, frustration carved on his face. Skylar’s eyes snapped open, and she let out a deep, frustrated sigh. The blue glow dissipated, and she took a step back. Desperation clawing at her existence. “You can’t say something so negative, not now.”

“Locking him in Nexus is a terrible idea,” Rhaziel snapped, his eyes blazing with anger as he glared at the blood moon gods. “I’m astonished you’re both supporting this.”

Viktor’s face twisted in frustration, and he slammed his fist against the wall. A thick red mist instantly enveloped his arm, and he groaned in pain. “We can’t think of anything else!”

Danil rushed to his brother’s side, concern burned on his face. “Viktor, don’t

hurt yourself.”

Viktor’s glare shifted from Danil to Rhaziel, his eyes burning with

desperation. “What do you want us to do, huh? Wait for Nikolai to awaken as a mindless, loyal dog, and let him slaughter us all?”

Rhaziel sighed deeply, pinching the skin between his brows. “I’m just saying that if Nikolai wakes up in Nexus as the supreme master blood moon god, he’ll have the power to destroy Nexus with a mere thought.”

Skylar’s breath caught in her throat, her voice trembling. “This was a terrible idea… I’m so sorry.”
