Chapter One Hundred Twenty
The next morning came quieter than any of them expected. After the chaos, the fear, the near loss-the Rogue Kingdom felt… still.
Too still. Willow was already in Diana’s room when the healer came to check on Diana one last time. She stood near the window, arms crossed lightly over her chest, watching the early light stretch across the unfamiliar land that she now called home. Her home. That thought still felt new. Still strange. But not unwelcome. Behind her, the healer finished her assessment, stepping back with a small nod.
“The Luna Queen is strong,” the healer said, her voice calm but respectful. “Her body has pushed out most of the poison. There are still traces, but nothing life-threatening.”
Talon, who had not moved far from Diana’s side all night, exhaled slowly.
“Can she leave the hospital?” he asked.
The healer nodded.
“Yes. She still needs rest. No fighting, no strain, no shifting for at least a few more days.”
Diana huffed softly from the bed.
“We’ll see about that.”
“No, we won’t,” Talon said immediately.
Diana rolled her eyes, but there was no real fight behind it. She was tired. Weak. And she knew it. Willow smiled faintly.
“Come on,” she said gently. “Let’s get you out of here before Talon decides to chain you to that bed.”
“I heard that,” Talon muttered.
“And you would,” Diana added dryly. But she allowed Willow to help her up. Slowly. Carefully. This time, she didn’t resist.
The walk to the pack house was slower than usual. Diana leaned slightly into Talon, her strength not fully returned, but her steps steady. Willow stayed close on her other side, guiding them through the halls.
The Rogue Kingdom was already awake. Members moved with purpose-but respectfully. Eyes followed them. Not with hostility.
Not with fear. But curiosity. Respect.
“Your already being seen as their queen,” Diana murmured softly to Willow as they walked.
Willow didn’t answer right away. Because she felt it too. Every glance. Every bowed head. Every quiet acknowledgment.
And for once- she didn’t feel like she was standing in someone else’s shadow.

Chapter Opened Twenty
Clarm
“This is your room,” Willow said as she opened the door to one of the larger guest suites.
It was prepared. Clean Comfortable.
Talon immediately guided Diana inside, helping her sit on the bed.
“You need to lie down,” he said.
“I just got up.”
“And now you’re lying back down.”
Diana sighed. But obeyed. Willow leaned against the door frame, watching them. Something soft settled
in her chest again. Then-her eyes unfocused slightly. The mind link came sharp. Urgent. Damon.
Willow.
Her posture straightened immediately.
What is it? she answered.
Please bring Talon and Diana to my office, Damon said. His tone was serious. Controlled-but tight beneath the surface.
The Royal Pack called. They’re asking for their Alpha King and Luna Queen.
Willow’s stomach tightened.
I will tell them. Talon might want Diana to take a rest first, she replied. The link cut.
“What is it?” Diana asked, noticing the shift in her.
Willow stepped inside fully now.
“Damon wants us in his office,” she said. “The Royal Pack reached out. They’re asking for you.”
Talon was already shaking his head.
“Diana needs her rest first.”
Diana sighed but pushed herself up again.
“Talon, the pack is calling for us. They must be worried. I can take a rest later. Let’s just hope this conversation is less dramatic than yesterday.”
“Unlikely,” Talon muttered.
Damon’s office felt heavier than before. Conall stood near the window, arms crossed, his expression tense. Damon stood behind his desk-but the moment they entered, he stepped forward instead. No arrogance. No tension. Just focus.

Chapter Opeimdred Twenty
They called not long ago,” Damon said immediately. “They want to speak to you directly.”
Talon didn’t waste time. He took the phone Damon handed him and dialed. It rang once. Twice. Then-
“Alpha.”
Enzo’s voice came through immediately.
Talon’s shoulders eased just slightly. “Enzo. We’re in the Rogue Kingdom.”
“You made it,” Enzo said. “We were trying to reach you.”
“We were attacked on the way,” Talon said bluntly. His eyes flickered briefly to Diana. “Feral rogues. Coordinated. We had to leave all our belongings in the car.”
There was silence on the other end. Then-
“But you and the Luna are okay?” Enzo muttered.
Talon’s gaze turned to Diana.
Claim
“Yes, Diana was injured and poisoned, but she is now recovering. We might need to stay here for a couple of days. Diana cannot shift or fight anytime soon.”
Another pause. Longer this time. Then Enzo spoke again- but his voice had changed.
“Alpha… we received news early this morning.”
Talon felt it before the words came. Something is wrong. Something bad.
“What news?” he asked.
There was hesitation. Then-
“Stone Claw Pack…” Enzo’s voice tightened slightly. “Alpha Charles… and Luna Carla…” A breath. “They’re dead.”
Silence. Complete. Heavy. Unmoving. Even the air in the room seemed to be still. Willow’s heart dropped. Diana straightened slightly despite her condition. And Talon-Talon went very, very still.
“How?” he asked quietly.
Enzo exhaled slowly.
“They were found inside their private suite,” Enzo began, his voice steady but edged with unease. A pause. “No signs of struggle. No forced entry. No scent of an attack.”
That alone was wrong. But he continued.
