Leah shifted slightly on the massage table, turning her head just enough to look at Diana.

“And you really can’t use Asher as an example of how a wolf should treat his mate,” she said, her tone firm but not harsh. “He’s an idiot.”

Willow let out a quiet laugh at that.

Leah continued, more seriously now.

“He rejected you because he thought choosing power and stability over his mate was the right decision.”

She shook her head.

“But he didn’t even realize that you were both.”

Diana remained quiet, listening.

“The pack gravitated toward you,” Leah said. “They respected you. They trusted you. They loved you.”

Her voice softened slightly.

“That’s stability.”

She let the words settle before continuing.

“And then you trained… and became the strongest warrior in Crimson Fang.”

Leah let out a small breath.

“That’s power.””

She turned her head fully now, her eyes meeting Diana’s.

“He never even gave you the chance to prove yourself.”

Her expression hardened.

“Instead, he rejected you… and chose a Luna who was power-hungry and hated by the very pack she was supposed to lead.”

Willow snorted softly.

“What an idiot.”

Diana couldn’t help but smile.

“He is an idiot, isn’t he?” she said lightly.

There was no bitterness in her voice anymore.

Only clarity.

“I really did dodge a bullet with that rejection.”

You did, Leah said immediately.”

She pushed herself up slightly on her elbows, her tone becoming more thoughtful.

“And honestly… Crimson Fang’would have just held you back.”

Diana glanced at her.

“You were never meant to be the Luna of a weak Alpha,” Leah continued.

Her words were not meant to insult-but they carried truth.

“You’re stronger than Asher.”

The room fell quiet for a moment.

“Your aura…” Leah added slowly, searching for the right words, “it’s different.”

Diana frowned slightly.

“What do you mean?”

Leah smiled faintly.

“Even before everything happened… your presence had weight.”

She shook her head.

“And after everything? After your training, after what you went through…”

Her voice lowered slightly.

“Asher’s authority wouldn’t have been able to contain you.”

She leaned back again.

“You needed someone like Talon.”

Willow nodded immediately in agreement.

“Exactly.”

Leah continued.

“Not just because he’s stronger… or more powerful.”

She looked at Diana with quiet certainty.

“But because he matches you.”

Her lips curved slightly.

“He enhances you.”

“And you do the same for him.”

Diana felt warmth settle in her chest at those words.

“You don’t diminish each other,” Leah said softly.

“You’re exactly what each other needs.”

Willow let out a dreamy sigh.

“That sounds like something out of a story.”

Then she turned her head slightly toward Leah.

“Just like you and Enzo.”

Leah blinked in surprise.

“What?”

“The way you talk about him,” Willow continued, her tone light but sincere. “It’s the same.”

“You say what you mean.”

She smiled faintly.

“And he does too.”

There was a brief pause before Willow added, more quietly-

“I hope I find something like that someday.A mate who not only chooses me for who I am, but also completes me in the same way that I complete him.”

The room softened again.

But then Leah hesitated.

Her fingers tightened slightly against the edge of the table.

“Willow…” she said carefully.

Willow looked at her.

Leah took a breath.

“Enzo told me about… what you two had.”

Willow’s expression remained calm, though there was a flicker of something in her eyes.

“I’m sorry,” Leah continued softly.

“If I was the reason things didn’t work out between you.”

The words hung gently in the air.

“The way you take care of each other.”

“If he had chosen me,” Willow said quietly, “he would have loved me.”

“That’s just who Enzo is.”

“But he wouldn’t have been complete.”

Her eyes softened.

“And neither would I.”

“We would have settled.”
