Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 90

"No."

Ivy kept her head down, working while speaking coldly:

"My husband doesn't want me getting too close to any other men."

She figured that saying this would make Ethan take a hint and back off.

But it didn't.

Hearing her mention her husband, Ethan immediately became agitated and pressed:

"Are you really married? Ivy, did you really marry an old man?"

Ivy looked at him.

She didn't understand why he was getting so worked up.

But hearing him say "old man" made her angry, and she corrected him:

"My husband isn't old. He's very young and very handsome."

"Who is your husband? Tell me, I want to go see him."

Ethan refused to believe that someone who had just broken up with Patrick three months ago was already married to someone else.

He especially refused to believe his cousin's claim that she had married an old man and was raising his kid.

Ivy really had no idea what was wrong with this guy.

Why was he always meddling in her business?

Her face remained cold, and she said bluntly:

"Why should I tell you? What does it have to do with you? Ethan, don't you think you're being incredibly presumptuous?"

However, their argument was overheard by Summer, who was hiding in the corner playing on her phone.

Summer immediately started recording a video of them.

Ethan paused for a moment.

He realized he had indeed acted impulsively again.

He quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I was just worried about you. I was afraid you were being scammed by some old man."

"If you're in trouble, you can tell me. Why did you have to go and marry someone? Your marriage has to be fake, right?"

Ethan was convinced the marriage was a sham.

She only knew that back when she was dating Patrick, every time she went to his campus to find him, Ethan seemed to be around.

A few times when Patrick took her to the internet cafe, Ethan and a few other guys were there too.

But they had never spoken a single word to each other.

It wasn't until Ethan was hospitalized and assigned to her care that they finally crossed paths.

Ivy could tell that Ethan was a pretty good guy.

But he was Alaric's nephew.

Her current identity was Alaric's wife, which made her Ethan's aunt.

Knowing that Ethan had feelings for her, it wouldn't be appropriate for her to keep interacting with him.

Who knew how Alaric would scold her if he found out?

So chasing Ethan away was for the best for both of them.

"Ivy, oh Ivy. You really can't behave yourself even after you're married. Seducing my cousin now, are we?"

From behind her, Summer's shrill voice rang out.
