With Juniper out for the past two days, Jade had surprisingly kept to herself, quietly handling the live streams without causing a scene.
The other colleagues responsible for client outreach had managed to secure about twenty consignment pieces, though the price points weren't great, meaning they'd have to rely on sheer luck and aesthetics to sell them.
As soon as Juniper walked into the studio, everyone swarmed her, asking how she was doing.
She smiled at them. "Don't worry, I'm really fine."
Jade rolled her eyes from across the room. Right on cue, the front doorbell chimed.
When the door swung open, Zoe Ziegler stood there, holding a massive designer jewelry bag.
Juniper immediately stood up. "Zoe, what are you doing here?"
Normally, Zoe would be at work. Outside of the few days Milo had been sick over the years, she was legendary for never taking time off. Yet here she was.
She greeted Juniper warmly and set the heavy bag down on the central table.
When the bag was unzipped, over a hundred pieces of high-end jewelry spilled out, piled together as if they were cheap trinkets in a child's toy box.
Zoe smiled at the stunned staff, then stepped up behind Juniper, placing both hands firmly on her shoulders.
"I've consigned with your studio before, and honestly, I wasn't planning on working with you guys again. There are plenty of consignment streams out there, and you're still a startup. But last night, Juniper dragged her injured leg through a torrential downpour to help me find my dog. She searched for hours and got completely drenched. I can see she's even running a fever today, yet she still showed up for work. For what she did for my family, I reached out to a few of my close friends in my social circle and collected over a hundred pieces of fine jewelry. We've decided to consign them exclusively with your studio. As for the commission splits, we can negotiate that later. I promise, you'll get a great rate."
Just a few days ago, Juniper had secured over thirty pieces from Zara Zimmer, instantly spiking their live stream viewership to over ten thousand.
Now, she had reeled in over a hundred premium pieces, and judging by Zoe's tone, this was a massive favor being freely handed over.
Juniper was genuinely shocked, but it didn't take long for her to realize what was happening. Zoe had specifically taken time off work to come here and ensure everyone in the studio knew exactly what Juniper had done the night before.
Given Juniper's personality, she could work herself to the bone behind the scenes and never utter a word of it to anyone.
But Zoe was an HR Director. She intimately understood the brutal rules of workplace survival.
