Cyan methodically retracted his hand, teasing, "Don't worry, you won't die. Considering the people you scammed were these two scumbags, I'll just let your meridians feel like they're being bitten by ants for three days and three nights."

The moment the words left his mouth, the old man let out a bloodcurdling scream.

The agony felt as if it were drilling out from deep within his bones, causing him to instantly curl up on the floor, convulsing in pain.

"Ah! Murder! Help!" The old man rolled around on the floor, crying out wildly.

"You bastard, I'll end you today!" Julian's eyes were bloodshot as he straddled the man, ready to throw another punch.

"Julian Prescott!"

Thaddeus's cold, sharp reprimand suddenly echoed. "If you want to act wild, get the hell out of here! Don't disturb my father!"

The furious shout acted like a bucket of ice water, snapping Julian back to his senses. He quickly slapped on a sycophantic smile. "Mr. Miller, I am so sorry! I just lost my temper. I only fell for his scam because I was so desperate to cure the patriarch. Please..."

"Get out!"

Thaddeus spat out the words, forcefully suppressing the urge to get physical.

He really couldn't fathom how the Prescott Family, once a top-tier wealthy household, could raise such trash. The current Prescott family lacked the grace of even a third-rate clan.

He glanced at Phoenix, who stood silently in the corner, and sighed inwardly. This outcast was the only one in the Prescott family with any real substance.
