The crowd erupted in shock at the revelation.

Didn't this mean that in the eyes of the Miller family, Phoenix's status was higher than anyone else present?!

Yolanda flushed with excitement. Ms. Prescott was simply too cool! With a single move, she had intimidated the entire crowd and ruthlessly slapped the face of that manipulative fake, Phoebe. It was incredibly satisfying.

Felix puffed out his chest and smugly straightened his bow tie, perfectly embodying the attitude of a fox capitalizing on a tiger's might.

Julian and Phoebe were frozen in place, their eyes wide with disbelief. Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine Phoenix would not only get an invitation but hold one of the Supreme tier!

Suddenly, Phoenix stepped forward on her long legs, walking right up to Phoebe.

Phoebe's face stiffened, and she forced a weak smile. "Sister..."

Without warning, a sharp slap rang out through the air.

Right in front of Alistair, Phoenix viciously slapped Phoebe across the face.

Phoebe clutched her burning cheek, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Phoebe, it seems your memory is slipping." Phoenix's gaze was ice-cold as she stared down at her. "I told you a long time ago. Never call me your sister. You don't deserve it."

Phoebe's eyes instantly welled up with tears, and she shrank behind Julian, looking deeply wronged.

"Phoenix! Phoebe just called you 'Sister' to try and bridge the gap, and you're so vicious that you resort to hitting her!" Julian shielded Phoebe, gritting his teeth. "Having a sister like you is a stain on my life!"

"Enough!" Alistair frowned deeply, shouting sternly to cut Julian off. "Haven't you embarrassed yourselves enough?"

Julian and Phoebe didn't dare utter another word, left to glare at Phoenix with venomous resentment.

"Phoenix." Alistair turned his head, and the moment his gaze landed on Phoenix, he instantly put on a kind, grandfatherly smile. "Since you received an invitation from the Miller family, why didn't you let your grandfather know?"

Phoenix offered a brilliant smile in return. To outsiders, it looked like a heartwarming scene of familial love.

"Alistair, you didn't inform me about your spots either, did you?"

Alistair's smile stiffened, but as a seasoned veteran, he recovered in a flash. "Haha, I simply thought that since you and Meredith are such good friends, she would certainly invite you. I didn't want to speak out of turn."

Phoebe bit her lip as Milo's face surfaced in her mind. Although not as breathtakingly handsome as Pierce Sterling, he was still quite dashing. More importantly, with Marcus Miller currently on the run, Milo was highly likely to become the Miller family heir.

It was indeed a good backup plan.

"Julian, I'll do my best." Phoebe took a deep breath and looked down at her carefully chosen evening gown. The sheer cutouts revealed just enough to be seductive, enough to make any man's imagination run wild.

She refused to believe that with her charms, she couldn't conquer Milo Miller.

At that moment, Phoenix turned around, sweeping her gaze over Yolanda and Felix, and nodded approvingly. "You two did well. Being able to hold your ground against their harassment didn't embarrass me."

"Hehe, Ms. Prescott, we're your people through and through. How could we embarrass you?" Felix bowed slightly, wearing his signature fawning smile. Though his words were sycophantic, his eyes were sharp and alert.

Yolanda stood to the side, her face flushed and her chest heaving. It looked as if she had a thousand words caught in her throat, but they ultimately dissolved into a burning gaze that intently followed Phoenix.

"I brought you two here today, and watching a good show is only secondary." Phoenix's expression was calm as her eyes swept over them both. "Mainly, it's to broaden your horizons."

She paused, her gaze settling on Felix. "Felix, your reputation in the group might be terrible, but you're clever. As long as you rein in your bad habits, with your smooth handling of things, it won't be hard for you to take another step up the ladder."
