Jaws practically hit the floor.
In just a few minutes, the twists had come relentlessly, exposing shocking secrets.
The so-called "loser" Sebastian had been trampling on was actually a prodigy that even Padraig looked up to. It only highlighted Sebastian's pathetic ignorance.
"Impossible... This is impossible," Sebastian muttered in a daze, his entire worldview crumbling to pieces. "Phoenix was just a pathetic nobody desperate for approval. How could she suddenly be someone out of my league?"
"Sebastian! Pull yourself together!"
Phoebe gripped his arm tightly, urgently whispering, "You can't give up! If you collapse now, we'll lose everything!"
"Tell me this isn't real, Phoebe!" Sebastian grabbed her shoulders with terrifying force. "Say it!"
"It's a setup! She orchestrated this entire thing just to steal your life!" Phoebe gritted her teeth, fueling his delusion. "Don't back down. The second you admit defeat, you'll be a laughingstock. Everything you've worked for will be gone!"
"You're right. I can't lose!" Sebastian snapped his attention back to Phoenix, looking unhinged. "Your video, your witnesses, it's all fake! I don't accept any of it!"
Phoenix shook her head with a heavy sigh. Raising a hand, she pointed straight at Phoebe, her presence dominating the room. "Since you insist on being so stubborn, let's keep it simple. Phoebe and I will improvise a jewelry design right now."
"Let's see what she's really made of. We'll find out exactly who the fake is."
Phoebe's face drained of color. She had studied design, but all her certifications were bought. If she actually had to draw, even a beginner's sketch would expose her incompetence.
Putting pen to paper would be her absolute ruin.
"Go show them, Phoebe! I believe in you!" Sebastian urged her frantically, his eyes red. "Use your talent to tear apart her lies!"
Cold sweat slicked Phoebe's skin. This wasn't tearing anyone apart; this was pure suicide.
"I..."
Before she could finish, her eyes rolled back and she collapsed lifelessly to the floor.
"Phoebe?! What's wrong?" Sebastian panicked, rushing to catch her. "Don't scare me!"
Phoenix scoffed, shaking her head. "Sebastian, are you completely brain-dead? Faking a fainting spell to avoid a challenge is the oldest trick in the book."
"Shut your mouth!" Sebastian roared. "She's always had a weak constitution. She passed out because you put too much pressure on her!"
"Fine, if that's what you believe..." Phoenix shot a glance over her shoulder at Macy.
A wicked smirk tugged at the corner of Macy's mouth. She snapped her fingers crisply. "Well, how unfortunate. I happened to prepare a top-tier medical team just to handle 'complicated' illnesses."
