Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 280

To casually give away an item worth 6.4 million dollars... she absolutely refused to believe this woman was just trying to "make friends."

If she wanted to be friends, she shouldn't have bid against her. She should have stopped at a reasonable price, shown goodwill, and backed out. But now...

This woman had paid a massive premium for the item and then handed it over without blinking an eye.

She was either foolishly rich or had a massive hidden agenda.

Phoenix took a sip of tea, her expression serene. "The White Jade Buddha Head is my welcoming gift to you. You can give it to whomever you need to secure a lifeline for Southern Heritage Antiques."

"Tell me, who are you?"

Eleanor's brow furrowed tightly as she stared at Phoenix, seemingly trying to pierce right through her disguise.

Yet, searching her memory, she couldn't find anyone who matched this profile. If this woman was anyone important in Cloudhaven, she would definitely recognize her.

At that moment, Phoenix removed her wide-brimmed hat, followed by her tinted sunglasses, revealing a youthful face.

"This..." Eleanor's face drained of color. She could never have imagined that the woman sitting before her—who commanded such massive wealth and possessed a calm, composed aura far beyond her years—was this young.

"Allow me to introduce myself," Phoenix said with a smile. "My name is Phoenix Prescott. I am Warren's biological daughter. So, technically, I should be calling you Aunt Eleanor."

Eleanor's expression instantly darkened. No wonder she felt a strange sense of familiarity when she saw that face.

"I never expected you to be a Prescott. But I heard my idiotic brother's real daughter was brought back from the countryside and then sent straight to prison. Were you released?"

As she said this, her heart skipped a beat, making the girl sitting across from her seem even more terrifying.

Coming from the countryside and spending four years in prison usually meant someone's life was effectively ruined.

But looking at Phoenix now, she seemed to wield immense wealth and unimaginable power.

"Aunt Eleanor, I know you have a lot of questions and are highly suspicious of me. But I stand by what I said—I mean you no harm," Phoenix said calmly. "Years ago, you severed ties with Alistair and left the Prescott family. You fought your way up in Cloudhaven all on your own and built Southern Heritage Antiques."

"Your business absolutely had the potential to be the number one player in the industry. But no matter how hard you tried, you could never take that final step. And now, you're facing a crisis where you can't open new sales channels, and your cash flow is on the verge of collapsing."

"To save your business, you specifically sought out Milton Lawson, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, hoping to leverage his status and network to open up distribution for your inventory."
